Rain in paradise...

Rats.  Ever since I got me new water weights it's been nasty out.  I just can't wait to get in the pool and try them.  It was stormy and lots of lightening too.  Then when it finally stopped it was only 76 degrees, not warm enough for me to get in, I need at least 83, preferably 85 or more.

The duck seems so stressed over his certification test on Monday but he has studied and is still studying and I know he will do fine.  These state tests are hard but he's a smart guy.

So I went to Publix yesterday and walked pretty much the whole store.  That is a first for me in some years, I usually use the scooter for those trips.  I was breathing hard when I got to the car but I did it.  I know it's the water jogging getting me so much stronger.  It felt really good to do it too.  I know most people take things like grocery shopping pretty much for granted but when you can't walk far it's a big deal, especially to be able to do it by yourself.  I've gone to Publix without the scooter but not walked the whole store.

The doorman is looking funny at me again.  I have been getting packages almost daily now.  I seriously have got to stop buying stuff online.  It's just so easy and fun and I know, I know, another shopping ban is right around the corner.  In my defense though some of the stuff is not clothing.  I recently bought water filters for the refrigerator, I order coffee online, stuff like that.  But that doorman doesn't know what is in my packages and he's not going to either!  Busybody.

Funny thing, my shoes are too big now too.  I guess I never thought about losing weight in my feet.  Has that happened to any of y'all?  Dr. Wacks actually told me I have little feet.  No one has ever accused me of that before!

I guess that's about all I know today.  Hope your Saturday is totally tits.  I'm playing canasta and hoping to get in the pool after.  Wish me luck!

  3. Wishing the Duck good luck in the assessment (whatever it is for).

Yes I noticed my shoes seemed bigger after I lost a lot of weight too.

I love shopping online but it can become addictive can't it?

  6. Bee, I completely understand the personal pride at being able to walk the store--for the past year I have had to use the electric buggy and the first time I walked the store--four weeks ago--I just smiled and smiled. I know people coming at me in the aisles wondered why I was smiling so big, but..............thank goodness for the cart to hold on to--that does help. Onward and upward!!!

  7. My mother has a walker and used it 100% of the time on the cruise, but she says the same thing judemiller1 said: She can go-o-go pushing that store buggy!

I am SO psyched to have lost 12 pounds and to be well on my way to getting fit again. I owe all of my inspiration and motivation to you, too. 48 sticks of butter of my a$$! I love you SO much! Well, I did before, but still!

    Big hugs xoxo

  8. Small feet uh! I guess you don't realize what you look now since you've lost almost 60 lbs.I told you, you look good now. Maybe that is what the doorman is looking look at, you. Ha,ha,ha, You're looking like a fox now my beautiful friend.
My mother is getting excited for her trip to Alberta to visit her daughter, my sister. I hope everything goes well. She's 85 years old and hasn't been on a plane for many tears. It's not the plane that worries, it's the time between getting there. I guess I'm just a worrier wort. Everything will be OK.
    Have a great day Bee.

  9. Good for you on walking the whole store. I don't know about shoes though. I've never lost weight in my feet as far as I know. Whatever though. You are doing so very well.

Have a terrific day honey and avoid that busybody doorman. Big hugs. :)

My town is celebrating the olimpic gold medal of Jessica Rossi, she did 99:100 shots, new world record.
She dedicated the medal to earthquake people of Crevalcore, her family can live in the house since yesterday, she lived under tents!

Have a great Saturday, and many wishes to the duck for nex Monday!

    Big hugs!

  11. well, feet swell up so when you aren't carrying as much weight they are bound not to swell as much. at least that's my theory. lol

Good for you for walking the entire store of publix!

  12. Good Saturday afternoon Bee!! After my weight loss surgery, finding my feet looking prettier was one of my most fun things. Yes, I also went down in shoe size, oh ring size too. So much fun. Keep on doing such a great job and you can even wear more mini skirts ;-),

    Big Hugs,

    Bobbi
