Saturday in paradise...

It's the weekend and y'all love that I know.  I have a canasta game today so I'll be busy.  Yesterday I had a lovely day.  The duck and I went to Red Lobster and still managed to eat healthy.  You really can if you are careful and order things just how you want them.

There was a different wrinkly guy at the pool though yesterday.  I did my 45 minutes but he pissed me off.  He had a radio and was listening to some foreign station talk show.  There are no radios allowed in the pool area but I don't really rat people out, I just let them piss me off.  (Y'all.)  Anyway by the time I was dry and going in he was still there, just sitting in the sun and listening to the radio.

Then in the afternoon I sat out on my balcony in my outdoor recliner and it's so comfortable.  There was a nice breeze and it was in the mid 80's so you know to me that's about perfect.

This time next week we'll all be watching the Olympics.  I am apprehensive about it though.  There is so much bad going on in out world and so many nutty people I just have some fears.  I sure hope I'm wrong.

Are y'all watching Big Brother?  I sure am.  I think I like Frank but not sure yet.  I'm glad he got to stay so I can decide though.  Willie is another nutjob but that makes it interesting.

And that's all I know today my friends.  Hope your Saturday is totally tits.  I know mine will be...

  1. I'm worried about the Olympics, too. They just pulled off the Queen's jubilee, so maybe all will go well with the rest of the plans, too.

  2. Your new chairs sound wonderful plus you can't beat your view.

I was thinking the same thing about the Olympics.
I get BBC news on the computer and they had to call out the police and army because the people who won the bid for security were way over their heads and just figured that they do not have enough security people trained or who will actually show up.
Hello what have you been doing the past few years ?
    Oh dear not good.

    cheers, parsnip

  3. That's really a lovely view! The sky is especially purdy! I do like Red Lobster's cheese rolls and salad but I am not a fan of Red Lobster. My mother loves it though. However, I'm hankering for some Salmon and I am out of fish! That means that today I am on a mission for fish. Sam's and Publix, here I come!

I'd have politely asked the man to turn off his radio if it was bothering me and remind him that they are not allowed at the pool. But that's just me.

Have yourself a lovely day! Big hugs xoxo

  4. The people at mycommunity's pool love to blast the radio as if it's their own personal patio. It's so rude but I don't say anything either. They are too dumb to realize it is rude so I'm sure they would be mad if I asked them to turn it down.

I love Big Brother but I think that they are all nut jobs or fame seekers. It must be soooo boring to be on that house for months!

  5. Ask the guy with the radio if he forgot his headphones or earbuds for his radio. At the Y that I visit, everyone has earbuds for their MP3 players and the radio still runs in the background. I even have headphones on my computer so I can listen to whatever without bothering anyone. I love Red Lobster, but we never go there. They do fried, I do baked.

We have hot temp, we hope to get rain!

    Have a lovely Saturday!

  8. I can not wait for the Olympics! Especially the opening ceremony. I wait for the Czech & Americans to parade and my heart just swells with pride. Sometimes, I cry, too. I'm a big sap :)
    Hugs from Ohio,

  9. I'd probably have asked him to turn off the radio too. That's just me as well.

Have a fabulous day honey. We are on our boat for the weekend and will return home on Monday. Big hugs. :)

  10. I like Red Lobster, not sure where the closest one is to me. There MIGHT be one 35 miles away....but I'm probably wrong. In that case, it'd be an hour plus away. lol

  11. I like the salads at red lobster. Just the regular side salad. They are always so fresh.

I bet that balcony is pure heaven.

  13. I think most rational people are a little worried about London but you can't stop living. One of the victims of Aurora missed being involved in a similar situation here in Toronto back in May on a gut feeling. This time she was not so lucky. I'm a fatalist I believe when it's time to go you go. Don't get so pissed off, it's bad for blood pressure :)

  14. I'm worried about the Olympics here in London, especially with G4S in charge of security! :(
