The haze you see in these photos is dust that traveled across the Atlantic ocean and is moving through our area. You can read about it HERE if you want.
You can't see much of it from the ground and the air we breathe is not affected as it is very high. It is amazing, isn't it? It's been going on for days now. It's also the reason we are not having rain. You can't smell anything and there is no dust on the balconies from it. I sure am glad if it has to be here that it's so high in the air.
Well it's Friday and I know how y'all love that. I don't have any games today, it's my day off but I'll still swim and try to see the duck too if he's free any time. I really enjoy spending some time with him, he motivates me and looks after me.
You know I have this thingy on my sidebar that shows where visitors are from (y'all), well if you wouldn't mind would you please look at it and leave me a comment with your location. I just think it would be interesting to see you and know where you are (y'all). (How was that for saving that old preposition at the end thing? Caught it twice there!)
So enjoy your Friday and have a wonderful weekend. I will too...
Hey Bee! This is Fran from Frannycakes. I am in Louisiana helping my daughter get settled in for her new job since graduating. Hope to be back in Georgia before long. I am still a faithful reader but an unfaithful commenter.
ReplyDeleteBee, your visitor side bar thingy is not there when I stopped by.
ReplyDeleteI always look to see where all your visitors are from. You are very popular.
I'm the one from Tucson, Arizona.
The Square Ones say woof !
cheers, parsnip
I don't see a locator in your sidebar, but I'm from suburban Detroit. It probably comes up as Royal Oak.
ReplyDeleteBuongiorno!!!
ReplyDeleteI see nno live Feed here in the sidebar, as in Muffin one!
Have a great Friday off, hopefully with OD!
From Bologna, Italy, since 2008
Big hugs, honey!
I can't see the thing you mentioned in your sidebar but you know I'm from the UK right?
ReplyDeleteHave a great day Bee. x
That Saharan dust has been all over my weather facebook feed. Thankfully, it's riding the upper levels.
ReplyDeleteWell, they are right. The Feedjit is not there at the moment. Have you gone invisible? And I know you know where I am! :)
Say hi to the duck! big hugs xoxo
I remember your old blog had one and it said I was in Lowell Ma. But I live in Peabody MA
ReplyDeleteIt's a feedjit problem. I have the pro version on my business web site and it's not showing up right now either.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning, Bee...I am Dianne from Feasterville, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia. Even though I have never commented (not real computer savvy but was determined to figure out how to post this morning), I look forward to starting each day with your daily musings. You are an inspiration and a joy. I need to give a shout out to John H. for mentioning your blog about 2 yrs. ago, and I have been reading ever since. God bless you!! :)
ReplyDeleteHi. I am still in NY but will be back in FL next week. Love you, CH
ReplyDeleteHi Bee, I am Karen from (your side bar says Cedar Creek) from Bastrop, Texas. Bastrop is just east of Austin. We are supposed to get the dust this weekend. Your blog is the first thing I read every morning. Enjoy your Friday.
ReplyDeletePat, from London Ontario Canada. You start my day and make me smile,
ReplyDeleteHi Bee,
ReplyDeleteWhen I'm at work and check your blog it shows I am in Minnesota (which of course is wrong since I'm sitting here on the 8th floor of UHG in Downtown Hartford CT)......I believe when I am at home it shows me in North Haven CT but I am actually in Wallingford CT.....Have a great day!
Lynn
Well, when I check in from work it says Colorado Springs, must be because that might be where our internet servers are for the government? No clue. When I am home it should say Berwick, PA or Wapwallopen, PA. Sometimes, too I think it says Maryland or DC when I am at work too. How's that for confusing?!
ReplyDeleteI'm the one that says Cleveland, OH - although I'm in suburbs :) Hellooooo, Ms. Bee! *Waving*
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy that you have duckie. I's so glad he's such a good boy now :)
Julie from Miami (of course)
ReplyDeleteHave a great Friday. I think that the coaches are coming into the game on Big Brother. What do you think of this? I think Ian may win the whole thing.
Since you have been to my house many times, you know where I am, even though the sidebar sez I am in Dahlonega...close!
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the duck. Tell him HI for me. Big hugs times two, honey...
Hi Bee,
ReplyDeleteI'm the "Visitor from Lanoka Harbor, NJ". Sometimes your sidebar says I'm the "Visitor from Toms River, NJ. The two towns are very close so my location varies from when I log on from work or at home. Have a wonderful day!
Donna
Hi Bee,
ReplyDeleteI'm the one from Cumming, GA. Love reading your blog.
Hi Bee,
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy your Friday!
Karin from Houston, Tx
Howell, MI--which is about half-way between the state capitol of Lansing Michigan and another town called Ann Arbor (I don't like that town nearly as much as Lansing.)
ReplyDeleteHi Bee, my sidebar says Metamora, IL which is in central IL known also as The Heartland. Farming country where we are surrounded by corn & soy bean fields. We are only about 10 miles from Peoria, IL. My hubby checks in and reads you from work early in the mornings and his sidebar says Peoria, IL. He works at Caterpillar, the big earth moving equipment corp.

Hi, Bee, you know where I am from! (Mayberry) Hope you have a lovely day today, enjoy your swim and your time with the Duck. And have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteYou can also know where I will be for the next 17 days any time I have free time - in front of my TV watching the Olympics. :-)
Hugs!
I'm from Winston Salem, NC and enjoy reading your blog.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes! Taryn
Hi Bee. Today we celebrate Cole's birthday and at 2:00 we have been invited to watch Emily riding her horse. She has been at the horse place for a week. She goes each day and goes home at 3:00. She knows about horses and words that I never knew. Later at 6:00 we go to see Cole. Tuesday we were at my son's place to see the three grandboys and today the other two. Wow, grandchildren take a lot out of you but it's great. See you later my lovely friend.
ReplyDeletePaul
Hi Auntie Bee!
ReplyDeleteWe use to laff when Mom was working that feed locator would show her in Memphis because that was where the servers were. But it says we are in OP FL which is very close to Middleburg where we actually are. Just down I95 from you. Daily furry hugs
Abby

ReplyDeleteLisa here. I am in Nashville, TN when I comment from work and Hermitage, TN when I comment from home.
ReplyDeleteYou know where I'm from, too -- but your sidebar doesn't know. I'm just somewhere in the United States.
ReplyDeleteI kind of like that, somehow.
LOL At Jeter... I say "Lon Guyland," too! I'm the one from Issaquah, WA. I live way north of there, but that's me. :-)

Hi Bee! I'm Susan from La Crescenta, CA. I've been reading your blog for a couple years now and also read Sarge's. I miss his words of wisdom as well as his sweet nature. Your weight loss has inspired me to start my own journey to health and happiness!
ReplyDeleteHello Bee,
ReplyDeleteI live near Chester in England. I love reading about your life in West Palm Beach Florida. You live in such a lovely building with beautiful views. I enjoy hearing about your weight-loss with various tips and ideas. When I log on I love the fact that you always have a gorgeous photo at the start of each days entry. I don't comment but read you every day. All my best wishes to you.
Wendy
Hi Bee! It's Dee from Canada and I'm still here visiting you everyday but so bad at commenting. You know what town I live in but I have no idea what your sidebar says because I can't see it.
ReplyDeleteI'm so impressed with your weight loss and trying to be more disciplined myself. Hugs!!
Bee, I can will tell you I am from Tipton, Indiana. Please, please do not grade me in grammer...I know I was taught proper grammer in school...but I guess I have gotten lazy. The dust thing....scary to me. It makes me think of a young fellow that was in my class , freshman year. He wrote a poem, here's a line... what is this dust, it seems so rare, floating gently in the air? No need to run, no need to call out, it's radio active fallout. He was a quirky fellow. I really liked him. :):) xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteBee - for whatever reason, my sign on always says a visitor from Bensalem, PA despite the fact that I am located 45 miles away in Swedesboro, NJ.
ReplyDeleteGo figure.
Jon
Bee, you know where I live since you've sent jewelry here! (And maybe more in the future.) But sometimes it says I'm from Howell instead of Brighton.
ReplyDeleteAuntie Pam
Hi Bee, Judy from Ottawa, Ontario Canada - that makes 4 of us today.
