Sunday in paradise...

We have a weather siren at the club because of the golf course.  One long for lightening and three short for all clear.  Since I live next door to the club of course I can hear it.  For the past week it has been going off every day and most days several times.  Lots of wind and storms blowing through here.

Yesterday at canasta I won every game and ended the day up $11.00.  That's a big win in our games, it's usually two or three.  Now I don't mind losing but it's more fun to win.

Al Sharpton was in West Palm Beach yesterday.  What a thrill. (snicker)

Today I get to go to the Walmart.  Sigh.  Hope there aren't too many screamers.  I go there on Sundays and to Publix during the week and shop.

Thanks for all the support yesterday.  I really try not to whine too much but some days it just pours out of me.  I can tell you one thing for sure.  If I were not so committed to losing weight I'd be eating all the time.  I'm one of those that food is not related to hunger, it's comfort.  Sarge knew that and I guess that's why he was so encouraging to me to stay on Weight Watchers.  And since I promised him it would really hurt me to lose this battle.  And it is a battle.  Anyone who has done this knows it too.

That's about all I know today y'all.  Make it a great one.  Me too...

  2. Seeing myself next to my parents makes me wonder how it is that I got the "I eat because I'm stressed and need some comfort food' gene and not the 'I can't eat a bite because I'm stressed' gene. Bugger.

Although neither extreme is all that fun, but their clothes look do looke much nicer on them. :)

Woohoo you for winner take all yesterday! big hugs xoxo

  6. Wow ... I haven't visited in a while. I read back, though, so I know what's going on.
I started to comment on what you wrote about being alone. I have never been alone, myself, so I can't say "I know what you mean" or "It will get easier" ... I don't know and that would be unfair. I will always listen to you, though. I love you ... we all do.
Will you be home from your cruise when I am in the funshine state?

  9. It's even worse when you get the "If I just look at stuff I gain weight" gene along with the "Eat when I'm stressed" gene - it makes the battle an even harder one!

Congrats on your big Canasta win and I hope you had a good day out at WalMart today. I had to stop in at our local one briefly yesterday and was just appalled at how some of the people in there were dressed. Really people? You are out in public even if it's WalMart!

  10. Hang in there Bee. It's a challenge to lose weight. I know it's so difficult for me to get back to losing some weight. I see you and I say to myself, if Bee can do it so can I. But unfortunately Paul is weak.

Since my dentist fit me for my front tooth after I put the tooth in about an hour later I start getting a headache and a sore neck. I had him check everything and he says things are going well. He said it may take time for me to get use to wearing it.

Big winner. You can take you winnings when you go on your cruise. Ah a cruise. Lucky you. After I paid my bill at the dentist, the two ladies who work there talked about me going on two cruises but my told them my wife what's to only go on one. They both said they would go with me. WOW, two women. WE all laughed and when I told Marylou, know what she told me? Go with them. We laughed and laughed again.

Time to go my lovely friend. Enjoy your day Bee.

  11. Al Sharpton is a crook, but they seem so popular anymore. It's a shame.

I'm so proud of you for losing all that weight and staying on Weight Watchers. Very proud.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs. :)
