Ah, Monday! My day off! Oh, wait, that's Friday. And Monday. And well, pretty much every day that I don't play cards but still... Oh, and that photo is the ceiling on the Carnival Liberty's Atrium, the colors change all the time, it is beautiful. The photo does not do it justice.
I heard someone say "dead as a doornail" and guess I've heard that saying all my life but I didn't know what it meant other that really really dead. Well here's what I found: in the olden days large flat headed nails were used to strengthen doors. They were hammered in and bent over on the back. The nail was then "unusable" again so it was dead. That's my little known fact for today.
Yesterday was a lovely day. Lunch with the duck and grocery shopping then he left and I went to the pool and did my exercise for a half hour and floated around for a while longer and then read while I dried off a bit. The water is fabulous. Amazing. Warm and crystal clear and totally tits. Why did I wait 12 years to go there? I have no idea. Duh.
I made some earrings yesterday and fixed a bracelet for a gal. I tried to make a necklace out of some of those lovely beads my MahJong gal gave me but it didn't look right. The beads are so pretty but I have to find a way to do them justice.
What is in store for me today? I have no idea yet. I shall try to find something wonderful though and I do plan on going back in the pool. Hope your day is as good as mine...
