Day before cruise!

Oh baby, tomorrow is the big day around here.  My cruise mate arrives this evening and we shall be off in the morning.  I am only taking the iPad and not the laptop so I won't be reading any blogs while I am gone.  If you need to tell me something please either email me or leave a comment and I'll check in daily when I post a blog.  If something exciting happens in your life I want to know!  You know, like if you get cake or something.

I came home from canasta yesterday and packed in about 30 minutes.  Yup, done.  I made a checklist and just brought it all to the dining room table and in the suitcase it went.

I'm getting my hair done this afternoon and doing my mani/pedi this morning.  Remember you can't get on the ship without a pedi, you have to go through the toe check station first.  They call it security and act like they're xraying your bags but they're really sneaking peeks at your toes.  I think that might be why they make you take off your shoes in airports now too but that's still my theory.

Have a lovely Friday y'all.  I sure know I will...

  6. Toe check! Hahahaha! That's what they are after :) Cruise is the only time I get a professional pedi. The rest of the year I do it myself ;)
    Hugs from Ohio and enjoy!

  7. Enjoy the trip and keep us posted. I'm eager to hear about the ports. They will never see my toes in security because I wear socks and sneakers when I travel to avoid all of those germy floors. It's not very fashionable, but I do that for me, not for them. I save the sandals for my destination.

  9. Yes, indeedy. Those are not X-Ray machines at all but Peek-Sneaking Missiles for any unkempt toesies. I am debating on waiting on a mani/pedi until I get up nawth as we could have a SisterDear Spa Day, but I don't think I want to get caught at the airport by their Peek-Sneaking Security either! I may have to go tomorrow, just to be safe.

I don't expect I'll be having cake while you're gone. Do you want me to email you when I have wine? hahahaha!

Enjoy your cruise! That way, I can enjoy it, too!

    big hugs xoxo

  18. Hope you find lots of interesting folks to blog about on your cruise. You are like our own investigative reporter onboard. I booked 3 cabins on Independence of the Seas last night for our annual cruise with friends. Leaves out of Ft. Lauderdale, so we will stay in Weston the night before sailing.
