It seems we have a storm headed our way named Matthew. It has been many years since we've had a storm like this in our area. We have many new people here. I hope they don't panic but to prepare for it.The news teams update around the clock and it seems like they're trying to scare everyone. I think it's for ratings.we will be fine if we just do what we're supposed to do and stay out of harms way. Of course some will want to go to the beach to see the big waves and some will want to have parties but this is not the time.

I will be fine and I will be prepared. Back soon.

  1. I know you know what to do and what not to do. I'll have my fingers and toes crossed that this storm isn't as bad as they are predicting.

Have a fabulous day honey. Big hugs to you and my very best to Roche. ♥♥♥

  2. You have those handy dandy hurricane shutters, too! Smart girl! I'm sure you're stocked up on all of the essentials... staples, food, water, gas, batteries, medicines, cash... and vodka. Wine for me. bahahaha!

    Batten down the hatches! xoxo

  4. and a fully charged cell phone, batteries, candles, matches, flashlights... just in case.
What else can you do but keep the storm shutters down tight and stay put?
Is there a basement in your building where people go in emergency situations like this?

    ((hugs again))

  6. Oh my Bee. Weren't you and I just talking about this a few days when you called me on my birthday? You were telling me about your hurricane shutters. Knowing you, you'll be full prepared for such a situation but I'll still be worried about you until it's finished. Take care my lovely friend. See ya Bee.

PS One of Mary Lou's friend is on her cruise in the hurricane area. I'm pretty sure she'll be taken care of.

  8. I am all for having a huricane party. I mean hunkering in the house. Having friends over and food and be prepared. As long as it is safe to stay.

  9. Please fill your tubs with water so you at least have some to clean with while the power is out. No power means no pumps in a high rise. Also hangs true for general water service. Big huge hugs. I'm praying for y'all!

  10. I blogged about this today. The news interviewed the person who bought the last flashlight at Home Depot! It gave me anxiety and I have plenty of flashlights. Stay safe. I hope it fizzles out!
