Today is Friday so that means Andre' in the pool.

Seventeen days till cruise time.  All by myself, I like that sometimes.  Time to think and not have a care in the world or anything that I have to do, just what I want to do.  No chores.  No one wanting anything from me.  Just down time in my favorite spot on the planet.  Naps.  Dessert.  Coffee on the balcony in the morning watching the ocean go by.  Pure bliss.

The hallways are coming along very slowly, I'm not sure why it is taking so much time.  The crown moulding is up but not painted, the walls have one coat of paint, the old carpet has not been removed and the doors have not been painted yet.  There are workers all over the place.

I'm not sure whether to tell y'all this or not but then I guess I tell you about everything so here goes - and please don't judge me.  So okay here goes... I got asked on a date by a 41 year old guy.  And I didn't say no.  Or yes.  I said I'd have to think about it.  Anyway I have no idea why this happened but he's very handsome and I will admit I am thinking about it.  I told him how old I am and he said age didn't matter to him, that he just wanted to have a date and see what happens.  Now what shall I do?  My WCK is still gone and we are not committed to each other but I never thought I'd even think about dating someone else at the same time.  Unless you count that cute dentist.  Oh my, now I feel like a tramp and I haven't even done anything bad.  Yet.  Hang on, it's going to get bumpy I fear, I guess it's time for me to be...

  1. Hi Bee, You'll never know unless you give it a try. Age is only a number!

  2. That's the same age as my youngest child, so I probably wouldn't feel comfortable, but......oh, I don't know. I guess I'd be suspicious of his motives.

  3. Well, I don't think you're plannin' on marrying him right away... are you? Just a date. A meal. Why not?

Although I must share with you that when I was newly divorced I had a friend trying to fix me up with someone who was more than 20 years younger and I cringed at the idea. I laughed and told my friend I didn't want a puppy to train or take jim to raise! hahaha! Of course, 41 isn't nearly as yound so totally not the same thing,,, it just reminded me of it.

Plus, you know Al is 19 years older than me, right?

Carry on then, my friend! x0x0

  6. It is what life is all about....after all Bee's do quite a bit of flitting around and they make things beautiful. Enjoy, and worry not about what others will think. Life is beautiful.....and this person can most likely see how much you love life.....go for it.
So happy you have another cruise to look forward to.

  8. Dating two or three guys at a time doesn't make you a tramp so long as you don't lie about it and lead anyone to believe you're being exclusive when you're not. Have fun. But a guy who is only 41? Be sure he's not looking at you like a sugar-momma who is always "forgetting his wallet" or he expects you to buy him gifts. Personally, that would just make me feel old to be dating someone that much younger, but the good news is we each get to make those decisions for ourselves.

  11. I think you are intelligent enough to recognize ulterior motives should that prove to be the case. Everyone, regardless of age or gender, needs to be cautious today but that doesn't mean they can't still have fun!

  12. Go for it honey. Go for it. Why not? You're not committed to anyone and it's just a date for goodness sake. Have fun.

Way to go on the cruise. I know you'll have a great time.

Have a fabulous day honey. Big hugs to you and my very best to Roche. ♥♥♥

  15. We just all hope you enjoy yourself. We trust your judgement. Just always have a little wary eye and we know it'll all work out just the way you planned it. Now we need to hear more about that cruise.

  17. Yes, go for it! I'll bet WCK is seeing others. Y'all are exclusive...and you are DEF not a tramp, nor would you ever be one. So there.

  18. You should do what feels right for you.
After all if you feel uncomfortable then why do it.
Dating has changed so much since we both were young.

    cheers, parsnip

  19. You're a smart lady. You'll know what to do. The age difference would make me feel older than I am. But then I am old and not afraid to say it.
