Key West

We are docked in Key West at the Naval Station.  Sometimes you get lucky and get to dock at Mallory Square and sometimes you have to take a shuttle there. Sort of like land tendering. You are not allowed to be on the base, just to pass through it. Anyway I am staying on the ship so it matters not a whit to me.

I left the piano bar at midnight and wandered around a bit at various fun stops. The PBE is Jorge and this is his first contract and last night was his first night.  Well he was danged good!  Fun, cute, knows the songs, gets the crowd involved... Nice.

Tonight is formal night and dinner with the Captain and some of his officers.  This is a big deal for me as I know them all and consider them friends.  I am quite looking forward to it.

So far I have been sent a large fruit basket, a bottle of wine at dinner last night, comped tickets to Rascal Flatts (which is sold out!), and a bottle of hair spray from the spa because mine was broken and told to take as many photos as I wanted and set them aside and call for comping them.  Not too shabby I'd say.  But then I am a very good tipper so I suppose it all evens out in the end.

Thanks for coming along with me and come back for more please... Because I might be
