My day after Christmas was really nice and quiet.  I did go see Andre' and it was mostly arms because my legs are still sore! Lol.  Anyway I had a good workout and then the mayor cooked marinated chicken on the outside grill and gave me a huge delicious chicken breast which is easily enough for two meals or possibly three.  Yes, it's that large and tender and juicy and just delicious.  What a lucky gal I am to have such great neighbors!

Today I have canasta in my building's card room.  It's not a game I really want to play in but they needed me this week so I said I'd play.  I would much rather be in the pool though.

One week to cruise time as of today.  I am soooo looking forward to it and spending the time with the duck.  He's such a great cruiser, he's game for whatever I want to do.  He says he's my "wing man".  Like I need one, right?

I took my tree down and put everything away already.  Once it's over, well, it's over to me.  Sarge was the same way.  He'd start to take down the tree after Christmas dinner!

So have yourself a fabulous Saturday y'all.  You know I will too for sure!

  1. Glad you're surrounded by such wonderful people!
I didn't put up a tree or anything this year, but when I do I like to leave it up 'til New Years. I'm like a kid when it comes to all the lovely lights...

  2. Right after dinner? That is the earliest I'v ever heard... except for not putting one up maybe. I've got a tiny two footer I've been putting up for a couple years now. When I moved to the Swamp I gave away my tree because there is nowhere to put it up. There is room here but I still decided not to put one up. Because cats.

Hope you enjoy canasata. Today we begin screening in the front porch. And I-talian this afternoon with sisterdear Lynda and I heard that Santa comes to the Swamp tonight. YAY! big hugs xoxo

  4. I'm glad you had a great day after Christmas. That rocks.

We didn't decorate this year. It's our first year not hosting the family dinner and it was ever so wonderful. Quiet, peaceful and very little work. We just enjoyed both holidays this year.

I'll go along on your cruise. It's the only way I'll cruise anymore.

I love BBQ chicken. How nice of the mayor.

Have a fabulous day honey. Big hugs to you and my very best to Roche. ♥♥♥

  6. It's interesting how we all have different traditions about taking the tree down. After Christmas dinner is about the earliest I've heard, though. We always did it the second of January, but we never put it up until the week of Christmas either.

  7. Bee, I have been wondering when your next cruise would be. You and the Duck , at sea once again...what fun !! Wish I were going with you. I love good neighbors, they are a treasure. Food grilled out taste so good too. Some times Teddy will grill out in the winter here just for a taste of summer. Blessings for a fun day. xoxo,Susie

  8. Before we started going to FL after Christmas, I left decorations up till epiphany. Now it all has to come down ASAP, so I don't do much decorating any more. And that is A-OK.

See ya soon. Big hugs, honey...

  9. Your wing man. Love it! Sounds like a good day. We started out today to ride the ferry, but had to turn back due to a small issue. that's okay... I still got to ride on the boat! :-)

It's chilly up here. Getting ready to snuggle in a blanket. I need to make a super-warm quilt for me!
