Gosh I need to get back on a ship to see this every morning. Seriously I wish I lived on one.
It is getting dark so early now too. I much prefer the long lazy days of summer but at least it's not cold. Cool but not cold. There is now a new heater for the pool so the water is wonderful though.
The card room was so full yesterday. The snowbirds are back in flocks! The buildings are all full, the parking lots full, the restaurants full, yup, season is upon us now.
Today I hope to see the duck for lunch for our weekly outing. One of my favorite times of the week!
Sigh, there is no cake in my world though. Why do you suppose that is? Kidding. Cake is not healthy, not good for you, and not - um - what I should be eating. It's just sooooo good! Why do you suppose that is either? Sorry, just cake thinking here! lol
Have a great Sunday y'all. I will too. For sure...
nom nom nom nom... must eat cake !
ReplyDeletecheers, parsnip
I made a banana bread day before yesterday. So far I have only had a teeny tiny piece. I do so miss the sunrises from the balcony. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely time with the duck!!
big hugs xoxo
It's okay to have something that just tastes good, every now and then. There is no cake in your world right now but that does not mean there never will be. Meantime you have that nice warm pool to keep you busy. (Doesn't taste so good tho!). Enjoy your time with your son today and have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI apologize for missing your birthday! Things got away from me this week. Glad you had such a wonderful birthday week. Shoot, that beats a day! ...wishing you many good things and lots of fun and laughter this year.
ReplyDeleteXOXOX
Cake in your birthday week makes the added year a little easier to accept especially if is comes with ice cream on top. As much as you work out you don't have to feel guilty about the sweet treat.
ReplyDeleteLove that photo at the top.
The Canadians are coming, the Canadians are coming and aren't you lucky. Ha,ha,ha. Have a wonderful lunch with Duck and say hi from us, the Canadians, Paul & Mary Lou. See ya.
ReplyDeletePaul
We don't care for the shorter days either. Oh well. It is what it is.
ReplyDeleteCake is okay. I can pass on sweets for the most part. It's the pasta and the really good bread that I have trouble with.
Have a fabulous day honey. Big hugs to you and my very best to Roche. :)
Have a great time with the Duck today!
ReplyDeleteNow you made me want cake....
(hugs)
Because as a wise woman once said, "Nothing tastes as good as thin feels"!
ReplyDeleteWarm pool good. Shorter days, not so much. They are getting much shorter over here in Portugal. We are loving this river cruise.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs, honey...
