See I still can't get rid of that gut no matter how hard I work.  I shall keep trying though.  I don't know if it's age or what but it's frustrating as all heck to work that hard and still have a gut.

Then I went to get in the pool and the nights have cooled down and the water was cold!  I saw the maintenance man walk by and asked him if he could turn on the heater and he did.  It should be warm in a day or so now.  I did manage to get in but it wasn't nearly as lovely as when it's a bit warmer.

Here is a little joke for you today:

All of his life Bubba had heard stories of an amazing family tradition. It seems that his father, grandfather and great-grandfather had all been able to walk on water on their 21st birthday. On that day, they'd walk across the lake to the boat club for their first legal drink. So when Bubbas 21st birthday came around, he and his pal Corky took a boat out to the middle of the lake.
Bubba stepped out of the boat and nearly drowned! Corky just managed to pull him to safety.
Furious and confused, Bubba went to see his grandmother. "Grandma, it's my 21st birthday, so why can't I walk across the lake like my father, his father, and his father before him?"
Granny grabbed him by the head and looked into Bubbas eyes and said, "Because, you dumb A$$, your father, grandfather and great grandfather were born in January, you were born in July.
D#1 has gone home but must come back again next week for more dental work.  It's intense but it will be so well worth it when it's all finished.  She's being a trooper too.

Have a great Saturday y'all.  I will too.  For sure.

  2. I use to walk on water, too. lol....

I am LOVING the cooler weather, especially the nights with the bedroom windows open. It's still hottish during the day though but WAY better than the usual hot and humid. I know you'd rather the hot and humid.

I can report that in the last month of diligent healthy cooking of 3 square meals a day I managed to lose 11 pounds... I am now just 9 pounds from what it says on my 8 year old drivers license which, of course, at the time was a big fat lie. LOL. I still have 40 pounds to go. Maybe 50 to get to my doctor-assigned ideal weight... but I don't really see that one happening.

Have a delightful day. I plan to do a great deal of relaxing watching romantic comedies in the recliner after a little bit of produce shopping. big hugs xoxo

  3. We have a stupid wet bar in our den which I want to get rid of. Closing that off will provide approx 8' to our BR closet. Life without a garage has been awful...
Yeah, I get you about the gut stuff. But you're doing SO darned good!!! (Looking forward to the lovely stuff!)

  5. Stop complaining about that stupid gut. My God you look beautiful, health and living a good life. You and I have talked about that gut awhile ago. Keep trying, never stop trying but heck, but don't let that little gut bother you. I'm just trying to lose a pound & it's a pain. As I said the last time we talked, I remember the photo of the first time we met and how you look now. WOW! it's amazing of what you've done since that time. I cared for you then and I care for you now, there 's just less of you. I guess I'd better get off of my soapbox this morning. Have a great day beautiful lady. See ya.

  8. You look lovely. Anyone who has had kids cannot get a flat stomach back. P.S.- un tucking your shirt will hide a lot of things ;)

  9. Yep, I remember being a young deputy and having a sergeant that had a gut. I vowed I never would and I didn't until my latter 50s. It's a bugger. You just keep working and working and it may get smaller, but it just won't seem to go away. Bugger. I too think you look great. Remember, I remember you when you were on the scooter. You look fabulous honey.

Loved the joke. It makes sense now.

Have a fabulous day honey. Big hugs to you and my very best to Roche. ♥♥♥

  10. Well I don't live where you do and my pool heater goes off at the end of the month. Since I have to pay the gas bill I can't keep it on. Plus we do get a month of "winter". It will not go on again till April.
But the days are somewhat cooler I am going to try to push the walker along with the son when he walks The Square Ones. Not as good as the pool but I have to keep moving.
    I think you look lovely.
A designer I knew said even his thinnest clients who had babies always had a stomach no matter what they did. Unless they had a tuck.

    cheers, parsnip

  11. bee, The work outs you are doing are helping your core strength...that will soon work on the tummy area. If it doesn't...it is okay...you will have the strength to be to get around with out a cane, walker, or scooter. You know you are strong. You look very nice, I think. Glad things are going well for your daughter. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

  12. Now that's a special kind of Bubba. Miz Bee, you've accomplished so much. Be proud of where you are on your healthy journey. Keep working on your gut, but let nature take care of it,. If it doesn't change, it doesn't. But be proud of how far you've come!
