Well I never even got outside the apartment yesterday, I have a cold.  Rats.  I stayed in my gown and pretty much on the couch all day and did what I was supposed to do so hopefully it will go away quickly.  You know, fluids, blah blah blah... that stuff.  I don't feel too bad but I didn't want to be around anyone and get them sick too.  Sick sucks you know.

Old Chuckie Duck had me email him a grocery list and he got everything I needed and the doorperson brought the stuff up in a cart and I'm all set and I didn't touch anyone and then the mayor brought me a treat that his lovely wife baked and I don't remember what it's called but it's a Jewish Biscotti thingy.  Delicious but I only ate a tiny bit.  Woe is me, no appetite.  What a shame, right?  At least maybe those couple of pounds I packed on my butt will disappear.

I even turned on the tv I was SOOOOO bored.  But not for long, there is just nothing interesting on to watch.

Today I think I'll go sit near the pool in the shade and just be outside.  I don't know if I'll get in or not and I won't get near anyone but at least I'll be out of the apartment.  I get stir crazy.

You know if I had a brain I could write a book or something but I don't so that's out.  I try to do the beading again and I do love it but I just don't want to sit there and do it.  I will figure this out.  I really will.

Hope your Monday and your whole week is totally tits.  Mine will be I know!

  1. Hopefully today you are feeling better. The thing about the beading is that it was there to help you keep busy when Sarge needed you to be near. Now staying inside isn't necessary so while you might love doing it there are things you love doing more.

  6. I know you'll figure everything out. You're in such good physical shape now that sitting around on the couch just doesn't cut it anymore.
I'm the total opposite. I'm in horrible shape - my own fault - and I have to be dragged out of the house.
I've been telling my husband about all you've accomplished and he kind of looked at me with "Well? You can do it, too..."

  7. I do hope you kick it to the curb soon. Being on the ship having fun also means being around so many people who have something to share, like a cold. My parents both caught a cold after Maya's big first birthday party and my mother's turned into a nasty sinus infection and a visit to the emergency room. Ack.

Enjoy your day and feel better. big hugs xoxo

  9. Say brainless, don't you know where coconuts come from? LOL Sorry Bee, I just could not help myself. That's a line from "It's A Wonderful Life". When you said you didn't have a brain to write a book....that line came to me. Blame my kids. They are notorious for quoting movie lines. You know there is a book in all of us. :):) Sorry you aren't feeling well. Maybe just need a bit of rest. Sure would be good to rest outside. Your Duck is a great son. That was so good of him . Hope he doesn't get sick too. Take care honey, I 'll be thinking of you. xoxo,Susie

  11. Resting in the sun under and umbrella and drinking lots of fluids is a good idea until the cold goes away, dear Bee.
Wonderful that Chuck helped out and you also got a biscotti as a 'get-well-soon' present!
Do you ever watch any of the HGTV shows or the cooking shows? Sometimes they are interesting, might help pass the time if you don't want to do beading.
    ((hugs))

  12. Yep, those ships are huge petri dishes with all kinds of yuck. I so remember coming back from Hawaii and being sick for several months. At least this is just a cold and you'll kick it to the curb in no time.

Have a fabulous day honey. Big hugs to you and my very best to Roche. :)

  13. Oh, I'm so sorry you have a cold. Boo! (but by the way, that pink lamp is gorgeous!) Anyway, I hope you are able to get outside some, just to break the monotony. Keep doing all the stuff you're supposed to do and hopefully you will kick that cold to the curb ASAP! Did you know they are moving The Big Bang Theory to Monday nights this fall? Football will be on Thursday night...so I have to remember to look for it on Monday. Anyway, feel better fast. Hugs!
