***This was supposed to post at midnight but posted early because, well, I messed up.

Well flitter if canasta didn't get canceled yesterday.  So let's recap the week shall we?  Tuesday poker canceled, Wednesday Mahjong canceled, Wednesday dinner canceled, Thursday canasta canceled.  One of the gals husband fell and she didn't want to leave him and I certainly understand that but it left me home again plus it rained so no pool either.  I am well now too and ready to go do something!

So I went into that cavern I call a closet.  It doesn't look like I put a dent in it but I sure did take out a lot of stuff.  I also did a ton of ironing.  I like to iron.  I know, nuts, right?  Something about seeing the finished product all smooth and ready to wear makes me happy.  Now if I could just get the shoes under control.  They leap out at night and get all over the floor all the danged time.  Little buggers.

Roche' said I could take him shopping and I told him he didn't need any more clothes or toys, he has more than any other rock on earth I am quite sure.  That didn't seem to matter to him.

So I spent the afternoon listening to Garth Brooks and Charlie Daniels and getting my country on.  I've got friends in low places!  Oh yeah.  Go Garth!  I also ordered a pink cowboy hat from Amazon.com, don't ask me why, like I need one more thing in my life but I saw it and I wanted it and I bought it.  Oh wait, I can wear it to the Charlie Daniels concert, right?  No boots though.  Pink cowboy hat, pink jeans, C/D shirt, pink sandals.  How does that sound?  In the Kravitz Center for the Performing Arts?  Bwahahah.  Oh yeah.  Why the heck not?

So that was my day.  How was yours?  Have a great Friday y'all.  I will too...

  1. Everything got canceled. You know I think they did that because you were sick. If you're sick then everyone else needs to stay home out of respect. That's it.

Roche is a piece of work. Bless his heart. I'm sure he has more of everything than any other rock in the entire world.

I love it that you got a pink cowboy hat. Way cool. I love your outfit just fine.

I'm happy that you are well. Zane is sicker than the dickens. I've got a scratchy throat. Bugger on that.

Have a fabulous day honey. Big hugs to you and my very best to Roche. ♥♥♥

  2. Pink cowboy hat? Yippee! But ironong? Heck, NO, thankyouverymuch. If I can't hang them from the dryer and they're ready to wear then I don't need that article of clothing. But you go on and iron if it makes your heart go pitter pat. ;)

bugger to your week of activites being cancelled, but do you think it accidental that they happened during the very week you were sick?

    big hugs xoxo

  3. Your pink outfit sounds perfect for the concert. Especially the hat! For those occasions when you want a change from tiaras, why not a pink cowgirl hat? I wish I liked to iron, but no -only when I'm sewing. I hope you can get out and about today and will have a wonderful weekend.

  4. Pink, pink, pink. I wonder, what will be next, pink undies, pink hair, pink nails, pink Roche. Ha,ha,ha. I have a pink shirt that I wear golfing. I even have two pink golf balls that I use when I shoot over the lake. If I lose them, it's of no value because they are pink.
I agree with all the other ladies that the reason that everything was cancelled was because you were ill and out of respect to you Empress, they decided that they would wait until you were healthy enough to come back.
Well just reading your blog, it seems that you are ready for anything and everything. My Bee is back.
Have a wonderful Friday my gorgeous friend. See ya.

  5. I like the idea of a pink cowgirl hat, especially to wear to the CDB concert. I simply MUST check out the Kravitz schedule when I get down there. I keep forgetting. Did you book the bloggers cruise? You know Dick and I have. Just sayin. So glad you are well again.

    Big hugs, honey...

  7. I am not really a pink person. When I was growing up it was the time of all blonds where dumb and wearing Barbie pink.
But the right shade of pink does make many less tan people look very nice.
So I now wear some soft pinks (especially in very hot Tucson) and do have some funny hot pink shoes !
But no Barbie pink ! Oh and my hair is not so blond anymore.

I can't wait to see that outfit ! Get your YeeHaa on there girlfriend !

    cheers, parsnip

  8. I always disliked ironing but all that changed when I bought a Rowenta iron, made in Germany. It is amazing and now I don't mind ironing at all. I used my stepmom's Rowenta when I was visiting and bought one as soon as I got back home. What a difference having the proper tool makes when doing a job. My stepmom cautioned me to make sure the Rowenta I bought was made in Germany, as some of the less expensive models are not and they don't last.
