This was when I went inside yesterday and when the (self appointed) mayor (of the pool) decided to get IN the water.  Um, I have no words.  The whistle on the golf course was going off saying lightening and I could hear thunder but men can be stubborn things.  I am hoping his lovely bride sees this and can do something with him.  I am only the pool wife and don't have much clout although I did try.  It was about 1:30 in the afternoon.  He said "the sun is out".  Uh huh.

On quite another note I decided to tell you that yes, a cute guy did say he is going with me to those two concerts so I don't have to go all by myself.  Yay me.  Sarge would smile about it I know.

Today I have a luncheon downtown at City Place for a gal pal, there will be five of us.  We are all wearing polka dots.  I remembered I have a polka dot dress, I almost forgot I had it and was going to just wear pants and a shirt with dots, the dress will be so much cuter.  Cuter is always better, right?  And also lucky for me we are going to Brio and they have a light section in their menu so I can eat healthy.

The suitcase is out on the dining room table now and all but the clothing is already in it.  At the last minute I will roll all the clothes together in one roll and be done.  It's all in one carry-on.  I have finally got it right.

Yesterday was my 60th session with Andre'.  60!  Who would have ever thought I would have stuck with it like that but I did and I really like it.  I feel so good when it stops! Ha ha.

So that's it from me today y'all.  Have a fabulous Saturday and don't be shy about telling the mayor what you think.  I'll tell him to read the comments!  (Insert evil smile here.)

  1. That sky would have been enough warning for me NOT to get in the pool. Scary!

One carry-on for a weeklong cruise? Yeah, I could see how that could be done, especially since your clothes are so much smaller now. :)

  2. I can't give the mayor any advice because I have to admit to fishing in thee middle of a lake in an aluminum boat with lightening and thunder all around us, and we thought it was hilarious! Young and stupid -and very lucky!

  3. I can't even go across town with just a carry-on! You'll have to take pictures when you get your bag packed so we can see how it's done.

That is crazy to stay in a body of water when there is lightening and thunder coming. My nephew got hit be lightening and, trust me, that is a serious deal with life-long consequences.

  6. Hello on Saturday dear Bee.

All of you dressed in polka dots is going to be wonderful - great idea!

Okay, so I have to ask - could he be hit with lightning while in the swimming pool? If not, well it might be kind of fun to be in there with the thunder rumbling all around!

Glad you have cute company to go to the concerts with:)

60 sessions is wonderful with Andre. Somehow I get the feeling that you will be celebrating 120 with him too, it seems like you really enjoy it and its been so good for your strength/health.

  8. Bee, Doesn't that fellow know Florida is lightening strike capital.?? The saying is if you can hear the thunder it's time to go inside...even if the sun is right over your head. The kids know this, "when it's roars, go indoors !" Good for you having a date. Sort of, kind of , maybe. LOL. Please do a blog on how you are rolling all the clothes together. I am going to Utah next month and I maybe just taking two outfits and undies. LOL. I do not want to fuss with the air lines new rules. xoxo,Susie

  10. When we hear thunder it is OUT of the pool. And wait for at lest 30 minutes from the last thunder you hear.
Last year I was watching the rain on the mountains from my studio window and I can see part of the Ventana golf course. Right then thunder and a lighting strike hit at the same time. Right on the golf course. I could feel the energy (?) from the strike.

    cheers, parsnip

  11. I saw the polka-dotted girls on Facebook and I'm not sure who's the cutest! Cute guy? What cute guy wouldn't be interested in you, Bee? Of course Sarge is smiling.

And as for the mayor? I take it he doesn't read newspapers. Just plain dumb.

  12. You were wise to get out of the pool when you did. The mayor, not so much. Glad he did not get hit by lightning!
Yay for the concert companion, too.
