Gosh it was beautiful yesterday, it did rain here and there a bit but the sun was out and the day was fabulous.

Andre' said next week it's time to take another progress photo.  It will be ten weeks, twenty sessions.  With one cruise in the middle.

I can tell you one thing though, I get hungrier and I am eating more.  I know I am burning the calories and I am eating pretty healthy but at night I have been having a bowl of cereal at bedtime.  When I don't I can't sleep, I am just hungry.  So..... I decided to listen to what my body is saying and eat something, just try to keep eating healthy and go forward.  I am strong now though, really strong.

Well January is behind us so spring is closer!  When I lived further north (Maryland) I hated February but in Florida, well, not so much.  It's pretty nice actually.  I always went into a depression in February and didn't know about antidepressants or stuff like that and one year I even got suicidal.  We didn't know about lack of sunlight and how that can affect moods.

Gosh I have lived in South Florida since 1981, 33 years!  Where did that go?  I have never been sorry I live here either.  It was not right for D#1 but for me?  It is.

Today is the day Paul and Marylou go on the Breeze.  I know they are going to have a great time.  We have cruised with them twice and they are great people.  For Canadians.  (kidding!!)

Have a perfectly lovely Saturday y'all.  It's beautiful here but I'll be in the card room having a nice time there.

  1. We got a thimbleful of rain yesterday. Not yet enough to help, but... Oh yeah, Jerry Brown said to flush less often. Now, I don't know about you, but I'll darn well flush when I need to! Idiot.
Glad you're able to swim a bit more. That's got to be so aggregating for you. Strength training is what I need.
I'm so glad your depression has lifted. It's wonderful that you're living in the spot that makes you happy!

  3. I have lived in South Florida my whole life. I don't think that I could live up North during the winter for more than a week

  6. Sunshine and vitamin D from it definitely have an effect on mental health. People just crave it to feel good emotionally, and thank goodness Mother nature provides it!

Glad you are continuing to work out and are seeing the results in your increased strength!

Cereal before bed though? Ask Andre… Maybe a handful of raw almonds instead?
It's the carbs right before bed I would question, not the need for a nibble.

    (hugs)

  11. Feb in PA isn't much better, and I see it taking its toll on quite a few people that I am worried about. I have my moments, but it is better now that I have Megan. Her birthday at the end of January gives me something to plan for and help ignore the post Christmas blues. This stretch right now thought, post birthday, pre SPRING is the hardest. I just keep moving forward and definitely do not let the bad weather get me down. It has to snow anyway, so there is no sense in getting upset about it. I welcome it, clean, fresh, white. Picturesque and fun to play in. Perspective... I haz it... most days.
