Gosh today has only one activity, well lunch and cards so I guess that's two but not bad.  Yesterday I had Andre' for 3/4 of an hour, then stretching, then the pool, then the barbecue and I was exhausted afterwards.  It was 8:30 at night when I finally got home.  The food was really good and I know I did eat too much but I saved calories and exercise calories so I was okay.  I even had a cookie - one.

There are many pretty Christmas lights here, well not too many in my development but in the area.  It reminds me of how much Sarge hated doing it, he liked to see other people's but not do it himself.  Well one year I was having a particularly rough time, my boss was dying of brain cancer and I was trying to hold the entire company together through it and I came home and he had put lights on my frangipani tree.  A frangipani tree is really only sticks with blooms on the end.  It looked like the leaning tower of piza with antlers.  I laughed so hard I just sat there and started crying.  It was such a sweet thing he tried to do to make me feel better.  Gosh I miss that guy.

Hope your day is lovely.  Mine too.

  1. That Sarge was such a mush-hearted sweetie pie! My ex hated (hates? Because he probably still does hate it!) doing a Christmas tree almost worse than anything. He'd rather go to a dentist and have all of his teeth drilled. With no novacaine. Or something like that. Of course he is the reason that I do everything that I do. I waited for him to do it for 22 years and I decided I wouldn't do THAT anymore.

Enjoy your easy peasy day! big hugs xoxo

  4. I remember Charlie would put a photo each year competing my lights against his which would be just a half done house which rteally wasn't his. He and I would laugh each time Christmas came. I miss that photo from him Bee. I always think about him and that photo.
That was a lovely thing he did when you were really down when your boss was dying. Charlie was always thinking about others. I loved that man and you know that.
MaryLou is gone taking AmyLynn to work at Tim Horton's. I'm waiting to skype with my friend Al in China. Last night I surprised my granddaughter Emily when I opened her skype. She was shocked and laughed and said " Grandpa what are doing her in skype? There in the screen was entire family. I'm really happy that I have skype now.
Have a great day my very wonderful & thoughtful friend. See you.

  7. Aw how kind Sarge was. I remember one year my Dad had been in hospital and was due to come home the week before Christmas so I cleaned his bungalow from top to bottom and put his Christmas tree up and all his decorations in readiness. His face was an absolute picture of happiness when he saw them. He loved Christmas and I do too. x
