Well now the holiday season is in full swing pretty much everywhere.  There are parties and decorations and food.  Oh, and more food.  And then there is food.

I have done pretty well the past few years and hope to do the same this year but no promises.  All I will promise is that I will not gain back the weight.  If I add a few pounds I'll take it back off and it will not get beyond a few.  Like two.

I am obsessed with weighing myself every day.  I know you are not supposed to but I do anyway and I don't think anything will change me.  The only time I don't weigh myself when I get up in the morning is either on a cruise ship or when I am out of control.  I choose not to get out of control any more.

My mouth is healing and not nearly as sore as it was but I am still taking Advil.  Hopefully that will go away soon because I don't like taking it.  I tried not to but it started hurting again so I took more.

Today I am getting my hair done.  It's getting longer and I like it for a change, I have had short hair for so many years.  Somehow it's really easier to take care of when it's long, maybe because I can pin it up to get it out of my way now.  Anyway don't know how long I'll keep it but for now I will.

Guess that's it from paradise for today y'all.  Hope you had a great Thanksgiving, I know I did.  Have a wonderful Friday too.

  1. I have a hair appointment this morning. I just can't get past the grow-out stage and I love how easy peasy short is. I have the gym in an hour with Peggy. My knee is a tad sore today and I'm tempted to not go but go I shall. I'll just do weights this morning and call it good.

I'm glad your mouth is feeling better and that your Thanksgiving was good. Mine was, too!

    big hugs xoxo

  3. I weigh myself every day too, then I know if I have gained even the smallest amount of weight and I can do something about it. I had my hair long for the loooonggessst time and I too find it easier to cope with now it's a little longer - I can blow it straight or curl it or tie it up, it's great.

  4. I have a hair appointment this afternoon. I get mine cut the last Friday of every month.

I'm glad you had a great day yesterday. We did here too. Dinner was good and it was good to see everyone.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs to you and my best to Roche. ♥♥♥

  5. Buongiorno!, as our friend Ivana would say. Snow came to our fair town yesterday. It was nice to look at but now it can go away. When I see snow I immediately think of cruising because soon we'll be cruising. Hooray. Have a great day my beautiful but sore friend.

  6. Hay Miss Bee.

Thanksgiving was wonderful. Sometime you will have to come out to the high country and look down on the rest of the country with the best of us. We could get you some horse riding lessons or something.

You take care and keep in touch.

  7. My mother in law had obese parents and at a young age decided that she was never going to be fat. She has never had a weight problem and she likes to eat. She weighs herself every day. When she goes away for more than a weekend, she brings her scale with her. If she goes up a pound or two, she watches what she eats until it goes away. I think that weighing yourself is a good practice.

In other news. I have been eating for about 24 hours straight and can't stop. I need to get on my scale right now but I'm afraid!!!!

  8. Bee, I think maybe it's okay to weigh yourself everyday...that way pounds don't sneak back. I sure need to practice what I preach..gaaa. I had two cookies yesterday and a sliver of pecan pie.....doomed. I need to get outside and walk a bit..I have made 5 trips up/down the basement stairs. My arse will never sag. :):) Blessings pretty girl, xoxo,Susie

  9. Bee, glad your mouth is starting to feel better. I used to weigh myself everyday also. I don't have a working scale or at work anymore, maybe I should go buy a new one.

    Big Hugs!

  11. I also weigh every day, but I only record my "official" weight once a week. That way I can tell during the week how I am doing. Once I record my official weight for the week I make adjustments for the coming week if necessary, (less eating out, increasing water, etc.)

  12. Glad your mouth is doing better. I weigh most mornings. Gained 1 lb from turkey day but it won't stay. It isn't invited to stay.

    Big hugs, honey...
