This was last night's Harvest Moon.
Does anyone know why I can't take a photo
of the moon with an iPhone?
I must be doing something wrong.

Finally a sunny day with no place to go but the pool.  Ahhh... Heaven on earth.

Yesterday I had a not so fun day but it had a wonderful outcome.  When I got home Wednesday and got undressed I felt a lump and it was very painful.  I was scheduled for my regular mammogram on Monday and by luck they called me to do the pre-registration on the phone just about that time.  I told them what I felt and they rescheduled me for yesterday.

To make a (very) long day into a short story it is fine, it seems there is fat necrosis in the breast.  It is in the site where I had the lumpectomy and the mammosite radiation.   I had many (many!)  mammogram photos and then the radiologist wanted ultrasound and so I had many (many!) ultrasound photos.

Then the radiologist came in the room and wanted a live one so we did that.  She was so wonderful and knowledgable and took the time to talk to me and reassure me.  And I absolutely love that they have all women physicians in this section of the hospital.

I could see it on the ultrasound, it is about an inch round and moves and is not hard.

I had not heard of this before but because it came on so quickly I thought it might be a cyst and not cancer again.  Anyway I'm fine and don't need to go back until August.

So that was my story for the day.  Hope your day was fabulous, mine turned out to be!

  1. The moon is too far away for the iPhone camera to focus. That's what I think anyway. I'm not an expert of course, but I have stayed at a Holiday Inn at one time or another.

Hooray for you finding it and having it check so quickly and for such great news!

Have an absolutely perfect day today! big hugs xoxo

  2. Bee,
Thank GOD you were able to get in so quickly and have it checked. It sure sounds like you have some great medical folks in your area. I am so glad everything is OK!
