I had a great maj game yesterday and even won some bucks!  Just a few but it was fun.  We are going to play next week too.

I don't think I'm going to play today though, not sure about this game.  I think I'll just swim instead today.  I told a little fib when they called last night.  I said I had a commitment.  Well actually I am committed to my daily swim so it's not a big lie.

It's just a bit over two months until my cruise.  That I am going on alone.  Yes, you heard that right.  Now I will know some people when I get there but I am going to Miami alone and staying in a cabin alone and I think I am ready to do it!  Actually I am even a bit excited about it.  One problem is that you have to pay for at least two people in a cabin so I got a smaller one with a twin bed and a sofa so the rate wasn't too bad (times two).  I think the cabin would really be too small for a second person but it is what it is and I shall go and have fun.  It's a nice 8 day southern Caribbean cruise.

I might have my scooter sold!  I sold Sarge's after he died and I haven't used mine in over a year so I know I don't need it any more.

And that, my friends, is what I know today.  Hope your Thursday is totally tits.  Mine sure will be!

  1. YAY! I am off on my cruise today, also alone. Well, the first 4 days I'll be alone and the laast 5 days a friend will be joining me. I have loaded up my Kindle and I'm packing my gym clothes and bathing suit and I shall be blissfully happy cruising. Yes, indeedy! I hope the piano bar dude is good!

    big hugs xoxo

  4. It's a shame you have to pay for two people for your cruise cabin but I guess that's just the way it is. I'm sure you will enjoy it, especially as there will be people on board that you know. x

  5. Well if I lived in Florida, I would go with you Bee and I would sleep in the bathtub. I forgot, they don't have a tub. I guess I can't go. I tried. I know that you will totally enjoy the cruise.
I'm golfing today and later on I'm having a BBQ with my friends. See you my wonderful friend.

  6. If the tiara fits wear it. I love that and mine fits just fine as you well know.

Way to go on cruising alone. You'll have a fabulous time, and I'd think you'd know someone on any carnival cruise as much as you've cruised.

Have a terrific day at the pool honey. Big hugs. ☺

  9. It stinks that it costs so much extra to cruise alone. My friend Tom always has to pay a lot when he cruises with us. Next cruise we are all going on Norwegian because they have a special group of solo cabins that are just for single travelers. They are grouped together and have key card access to a private lounge. Singles can meet for conversation and to plan things together. The cruise line holds an introductory mixer the first afternoon for those staying in the solo cabins. I understand it is a great way to meet others who may decide to join up for shore excursions or dinners, etc. We will see how Tom likes it.

  12. You are such a good role model. Kudos to you for cruising alone....but you will have all your buds following you, no matter where you are.

And yes, my tiara still fits. I only gained 1 pound on the cruise.

    Big hugs, honey...
