Yikes!  It was beautiful all day and then about 6:00 this came crashing in.  We do need rain but this is a bit scary.  I went to the pool early and there were three of us there, we got to talking and I did an hour before I knew it.  It goes by so fast when there is someone else doing it too.

I'm all packed and ready to go on Monday.  The only think I'm not sure of is whether I am checking a bag or taking it with me.  It's small and not heavy, I really packed light, so it wouldn't be a problem for me but do I want to fool with it?  And the check bag fee is $25.00 which isn't really a problem but I sure could roll it myself for that and have the money to shop, right?  Anyway we'll see.  I don't have to decide yet.

I'm getting excited about the trip now.  It's really a big step for me to go somewhere by myself.  I know most people do it all the time but I never have.  Yet.  Until now.

Have a great Saturday.  I know I will!

  1. You GO, girl! I've been traveling alone all of my adult life. Because my ex-husband wouldn't go anywhere. Ever. But go I did, Precious. Yes, indeedy! If I bring my computer (on working trips, like next week's will be) I do check my bag. If I have my computer, well, I just don't want to wrangle with both of them but one carry-on bag is no problem at all.

That photo of the stormfront is AWEsome! What a fabulous vista you have in your Ivory Tower!!

It's take your parents to the airport day so my day won't be too extra but I shall still find a way for some YAY. I hope you have lots! big hugs xoxo

  5. Have a wonderful time, Bee.
Enjoy doing it on your own - you get to call all the shots about what you do and when and where and how. Congratulate yourself on being brave enough to do so, capable of doing it, and successful at making it all work.

    ((hugs))

  8. You'll have a wonderful time and you'll do just fine. Taking that first step is all it takes. Then you'll go where you want. You're in much better health now so getting around it's a big problem anymore either. You've come a very long way. Awesome.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs from hot California. :)

  11. So many times the flights are so full that they ask for volunteers to check their bags free of charge. Congrats on making the decision to travel solo! I know that was a huge step.

Enjoy the day. It's sunny and hot up here!
