Well it all started when my card game got cancelled.  I got out my glue gun to put some lace on something and Roche' wanted it.  Now it's not glued to him but rather it's what he likes to call a "mani skirt".  He also wanted me to hot glue rhinestones on him but I wouldn't.  I was afraid it would hurt.  He told me it wouldn't because, well, he's a rock and all, but still.

Steve and Jane came yesterday and I went to the pool.  It is so full from the rain I could barely touch the bottom but I did thirty minutes and it was lovely.  I am seriously getting way too tan.  I don't much know what to do about it either, I don't get in the sun at all unless I am in the pool but I am tanning all the way to my toes.  Sunscreen doesn't stop it either.  I am sort of olive skinned and I guess that's why.

I made iced tea yesterday.  I used to make it all the time for Sarge but sort of forgot about it and hadn't made it for a long time.  It tasted so good!  Refreshing and no calories, a win/win.

Have a lovely Thursday y'all.  I'll be playing canasta so it's all good here...

  1. I tan easily now and I think it is because of some medicine I take but unless I go out and exercise early in the morning, I wear a large straw hat and a 3/4 length sleeve tee shirt over my bathing suit. The Tucson summer is hot we are hitting 99 already.
The Square Ones send woofs !

  2. What kind of tea do you like? I have a tea shop where I get loose tea. I have discovered a new favorite for my spring and summer tea, rose. Oh my heavens it smells like a bouquet and taste as lovely, I'm fairly certain it is in a black tea, but I'd have to check the package to see for sure. I went down to the valley to get some more and she was out! I had to settle for one that tastes like key lime. I love hot tea usually but both make delicious iced.

  3. I always wear P20 once a day sunscreen if I'm going out in the sun and only tan slightly, I'm fair skinned. I'd love a gorgeous deep tan but I know it's not good for one's skin.

  4. It looks like Roche is embracing his feminine side.
I wish I could tan. I put lots of sunscreen on to prevent burning, I don't lie in the sun, but as soon as I get in the sea I burn. I don't look fair skinned but it is an Irish trait I get from my grandmother who would burn almost the moment she stepped out of the door.

  6. Bee, I think your Roche is a transvesrock. Just saying:):) I wish I had olive skin like yours...I always burn and freckle. Isn't there and overflow drain on the pool?? Proud of you, you keep doing your exercise. It's easier on your hips, knees and ankles in the water too. xoxoxo,Susie

  7. I am seriously concerned about Roche'. I think he needs a vest, not all that lace and frou-frou you keep putting on him. Or--was he born that way?

  8. Good morning Bee. We had some rain last night and it cooled down the place. MaryLoy and I picked up some flowers to put in the front and back of our place. It looks pretty good. Hopefully we'll see you again in the future. See ya my beautiful friend.

  9. I have never in my life had a tan. I don't do sun. I do shade. If I know I'll be out in the sun for any period of time, I wear 50 or 60 sunblock. If I don't, I freckle, burn and peel - and risk melanoma. Ack. With all my moles and freckles (and now age spots!!) the last thing I want is a tan. My sister Tina is the very opposite of me in that regard. She worships the sun and tans. She lays out for hours and hours. I figure in a couple of years she'll still be 7 years younger than me but she'll look 10 years older.

I've been mostly drinking 8-10 glass of water but the other day I bought some Arizona green tea with ginseng. It's my favorite.

I hope Roche' doesn't trip over his mani-skirt. bahahahaha!

Have a lovely day! big hugs xoxo

  10. Use sunscreen to filter out the harmful stuff and enjoy your time in the pool without worrying about being tan. That's my advice and I'm sticking to it! :-) Iced tea is always a good thing, I'm ready for a glass right now. Hugs!

  11. Roche really likes frilly and colorful things doesn't he. He looks good though and I'm glad you let him have his way with some of the things he likes. I'm just saying.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs from sunny, but chilly California. ☺

  12. I got quite a bad burn in Vegas last month. Found out from a gal at the spa that no sunscreen is "waterproof" - even if it says so on the bottle. FDA is working to get that off the bottle.

  13. Break out the iced tea. It's summer! Nothing tastes better than a tall glass of tea.

Roche is truly a drag rock. I think he has that Ru Paul person beat...

  14. No sun for this white skin! I've had too many pre-skin cancers, so it is shade and sunscreen, baby. And cold iced tea. My fave is Crystal Light Peach Mango green tea. I drink it by the gallon.

    Big hugs, honey...
