It's cool here, hopefully this will be the last cold front that goes through because you all know how much I dislike the cold. That pool is beckoning me!
Today, as I told you yesterday, I will be helping my friend Carole with her jewelry sale at the club with 20% to benefit ARC.
I guess everyone has heard that Google Reader is going away soon. I now have an Apple App for my MAC $4.99 in the Apple store that blows the Google Reader away. You can even comment on a post right in the reader. It is called Reeder. I think it only works on Apple but I'm not sure about that. All my feeds transferred over instantly. I have now closed my Google Reader for good. I really wish I had found this sooner.
I keep thinking I am not losing weight but when I look back at the numbers, I am. It's just very slow now and I am not willing to eat any less. So okay, it's moving and I feel great and the doctor's visit was great so I am not going to worry about it, just keep on keepin' on.

I've had Reeder for quite a while on my iPad. Yes, it is only for iMac, iPad, iPhone. I blog on the PC. My iPad is for relaxing downtime in bed... not anything internet-y. =) It's really not a big deal for me anymore as I only visit a handful of blogs anymore.

Oh, the weather here is dreadful. More snow today and I'm teaching new triage nurses 50 miles away from home. I'm not looking forward to the commute this evening.

I found a FABulous replacement for Reader for when I'm on my PC... It's called Feedly and it imports everything smooth as you please... plus its WAY better than Reader!

ReplyDeleteI love that light Bee. Refreshing to look at. Now as losing weight, I'm having so many problems. I start the day but as the day goes on I find the food not capable to the fitness pal. All these problems aren't helping. Today we take out all my mother's material out of Season's. MaryLou did a great job selling them and getting a lot of money for mom. I call her my own auctionneer( spelled wrong ). See you later my lovely friend.

I just signed up for Feedly and it's working just fine. I imported all the Google Reader stuff right into it and it's free, so I'm guessing I'm good.

ReplyDeleteI started using Feedly right after I read the announcement about Google Reader. After fiddling with it for about an hour, I really enjoyed using it (and still do) -- I feel it's better than Google Reader. It will run on Chrome, Firefox and Safari... but NOT on IE.
ReplyDeleteyeah i was wondering what i'd do without google reader. today i switched to bloglovin', which i can use in my browser and isn't a separate app on my imac. we'll see how it goes. i'm so bummed about google reader, though! why is it going away? :[
