About to be enroute to St. Thomas

Dominica was not seen by me after all. My cruise mate went ashore but I swam for an hour + instead and then went to the hot tub and then a well padded deck chair in the shade. How nice is that?

The water is just beautiful.

We did really well in the casino last night. We are both ahead a bit now but I imagine that won't last the whole trip. No matter, it's fun entertainment and not expensive as long as we keep up what we are doing.

The shows on Princess have been a major disappointment after the carnival production shows. No comparison at all. I don't know why but we are really not even bothering to go any more.

Am I having a wonderful cruise? Yes, mostly. But I probably will not cruise Princess again. My tastes seem to run to the "fun ships".

Thanks for reading...

  1. Bee, At least you are getting to swim and relax. One cruise we went on was disappointing with some of it's stops. Most of the stops are just tourist traps, unless they have something to really offer, as far as scenery or breath taking events....it's just as nice to stay aboard ship. Good wishes for the rest of your trip. xox, Susie

  2. I had a feeling that you were a carnival gal. I'm seeing that my thought is right. I still want to see the comparison when you get home. I'm enjoying being with you and you know how hubby and I love St. Thomas. Oh I could spend my winters there.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs to you both. :)

  3. What a beautiful place.
I have been wondering, why did you try The Princess this time instead of your usual Carnival ?

  5. Bee, you are the Empress ( Queen ) of the Carnival Corporation. I started with Carnival and so far Carnival hasn't let me down so I'll probably stick with them.
This morning Nancy from Allison's Travels called and informed me that she'll be arranging our boarding passes and our luggage for the flights. Usually I had to wait until the day before our flight but she be setting every thing for us. Now I'm really waiting for my cruise. Once I'm there, I'm hoping to see you again my lovely friend. Can't wait to see you Bee.

I'm so glad to like Carnival better, because I love it. I'd hate to start all over again and for more money, too.

  7. Swim and hot tub and comfy deck chair, while the masses of people go onshore, sounds like a good plan to me! Enjoy, enjoy!

  10. I am so pleased you are having a good time - sometimes you need to experience the competition to realize what a good deal you already have.

Enjoy the rest of the days afloat.

  11. I have always heard that the entertainment on Carnival is the best. Glad you're having fun anyway! It's tough not to enjoy a cruise.
