What a great day!

It started off with a flower cake from the duck!

And then I was finally able to get back in the pool.  It was 82 outside but the water was cold when I first got in.  After I jogged back and forth a few times I warmed up nicely and was able to have a really good workout.  It felt marvelous!  And yes, my toenails are lime green.  So are my fingernails.  I know, I know.  Way too old for these colors but you know what?  I like them so why not.  Who's to say what I should wear but me?

I am going out with the duck today.  I missed him last week but he was sick.  Some bug I guess anyway Dr. Wacks fixed him.  I hope.  Ha.

Yesterday I cooked a really good dinner for you bee bandwagoneers.  That is if you like sauerkraut. I took two chicken breasts and put them in a baking dish.  Poured a can of Bavarian sauerkraut over them.  Baked covered with foil tightly 350 for an hour.  Really delicious.  Sort of high in sodium but low calorie.  I had some cranberry sauce too.  Sometimes I do this same thing with boneless pork chops too.  I have another meal now in the freezer too.  That is so nice when I get home from cards late and am hungry.

So there you have it in a nutshell.  Have a lovely day y'all.  I sure know I will...

You are never too old for color. Personally, I express my color through my ties (not big on fingernails and toenails).

Oh, and Happy Birthday - the cake is lovely.

That meal sounded so good! I know what you mean about salty though. When I cook my kielbasa with sauerkraut or pork contry style ribs with sauerkraut in the crockpot, I always rinse my sauerkraut lightly first. Just dump it into a colander, and a quick pass or two under the faucet, and it removes just enough of the brine to make it much more palatable. It then cooks up to a really nice mellow-y state, and yet still has some of the tang to it. Try it!
