It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...

It's just not quite warm enough to swim.  Mid 70's for a high today is way too cold for me.  There were a few showers in the morning too but they cleared out pretty fast.

I am subbing in a canasta game today.  Next week there won't be many games, lots of gals are going out of town or having company or getting ready for Thanksgiving.  Isn't it early this year?  The 22nd.

Yesterday I went to Publix and ran into a gal I worked with 20 years ago.  She looked the same, cute, little, perfectly dressed, the whole package.  She just has never been able to find a guy that let her love him like she wanted to do.  I don't know why.  Well now she is with a 93 year old man and she seems happy.  Hell I'm just glad it's not me.

Oh, and I didn't have any makeup on either.  Buggers to me.  I bet I don't do that again.  I just thought I'd run out and right back and no one would be the wiser.  Nope.  Well at least I had just washed my hair and was dressed okay.  Note to self:  wear makeup!

No news yet on when the condo re-do will start.  We are hoping they'll do the painting while I am gone.  That would be very nice actually.

So that's all that's in my brain today.  Hope your Saturday is tits.  Mine will be...

  1. I use a tinted moisturizer and bare minerals and that's it. I don't leave the bathroom in the morning without it or I'd never think to put it on later. Kinda like making my bed. If I don't do it right away, I never do it.

I think it's great that she's found a fella she's happy with... even if he is 93. Hel's bells, I'd be happy no matter what color, flavor, hight or age, if he made me happy. And if he liked cruising. And my family. And my cats. And had good health insurance. Gawd, I'm too picky, That will so never happen. hahaha!

Have a YAYful day, my friend! big hugs xoxo

  3. I stopped wearing makeup a few years ago, but I do know a little eyeliner and lipstick works wonders in brightening the way I look up!

Is this your decorator doing the new paint? Can you let them know you'd like them to start - and finish - the painting while you are gone so that when you return the fresh paint smell has gone away enough that it doesn't make you sick upon your return from the cruise? That seems a reasonable request.

    ((hugs))

  4. Good morning Bee. I'm feeling a little dizzy this morning. I know I'm taking to much meds but I have to wait until 6 more days and the a blood test. Oh boy. My doctor he'll see after that. I didn't think losing weight would cause this. See you.

  7. I can't see well enough to wear makeup, so I don't. I look the same old drab every day and hubby likes that. He doesn't like me to wear makeup. I'm a lucky gal. Actually I think he doesn't like makeup because I'd have it in places it shouldn't be.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs from COLD California. :)

  9. Bee, That's the way it is...you will see so many people at the times you least expect it. Big sunglasses and a lipstick...scarf or hat. That might work in a pinch. Have fun today. xoxo, Susie
