Gosh I had a busy day yesterday too.  Too many activities these days.  I am going to have to say no, well actually I did say no.  I was asked to join a Monday MahJong game and I just cannot do another day of games.  So I thanked them and told them no.  I did not even offer to let them use me as a sub when they were short handed.

I do pretty good with one, maybe two things a day but I am getting so many things on my calendar I don't want to do stuff.  Buggers.  Maybe I am just over tired.  I have been staying up late and getting up early lately.  Anyway all I have today is lunch and canasta.  I can handle that.

Another thing that is wrong is not being able to get in the pool.  That seems to work my arms and legs until I get so tired that I sleep like a rock that night.

Last night I went out to dinner with my old boss and his wife.  It was really nice but I still feel like a third wheel when I go with a couple.  They could not have been nicer though and dinner was wonderful.  I was also able to stay in my caloric range for the day.

I think I just need a cruise.  Yeah, that's the ticket!

  1. I understand the third wheel thing. Having been single for the first 40 years of my life, I've lived that. Sigh...

I say pick and choose your activity and not feel pressured. That way you get to do lots of different things.

    Definitely need a cruise!

  2. At one point in my life I had to put a note on my computer that said "no" to remind me not to agree to do things that I really didn't want to!

  3. I do believe a cruise cures all ailments. But I know what you mean about being so busy you don't want to do anything. Been there, it's not fun.

Hi was doing a silent YEEHAW this morning. Something told me it was time to weigh in. I hadn't done so in awhile. So I snuck back in the bedroom and stepped on the scale... I had to stifle the cheers because Hubby was asleep.. I broke through into the 250s!!! 259.6! 259.6! I want to shout it!! That's less than I weighed when I got pregnant with Megan! Woohoooooo!!!!! And why am I tell you this, because its all thanks to YOU!!!!! You are such an angel to share your struggles and triumphs with us. I can't thank you enough for the motivation and lessons, and patience and love you have shown.

We rock!!!! I can't wait to get my picture up there for the bandwagon!!!!

  4. I don't feel like a 3rd wheel anymore. It took time but I got there. I sure need a cruise. For sure! Isn't this the one that isn't Carnival? I got a brochure from Cunard. Tempting, but Carnival suits me mighty fine. I'm still working on the sisterdears for next summer.

Enjoy your day! big hugs xoxo

  5. My nieghbor's sometimes ask me to go out to supper with them on Friday night. I do, but it feels weird. I still feel like a part of me has been amputated.

  6. I am sure I would feel the same third wheeler, but you are NOT. And yes, you need a cruise. Guess what, Jim and Janet are joining us on the Breeze! I'm working on Dan and Joan, too! Woohoo!!! It will be awesome.

Have fun today. Hope you can get in the pool. Big, sunny hugs, honey...

  8. Absolutely, a cruise will fix you up. You can get in the pool on the ship and make your own schedule every day! I understand about the 3rd wheel feeling but sometimes you just go anyway. It gets easier. Lots of hugs!

  10. I know Grand Turk when I see Grand Turk. I'd love to spend the day there exploring. Without all that rain too.

Good for you on saying no. Doing too much isn't good. Doing nothing isn't good either, but you don't fit in that mold either.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs. :)

  11. You will never be a third wheel Bee. You are one wonderful person by yourself and I love that.Cruising, cruising cruising. That's what you need and after that one you'll see me in January on the Bloggers Cruise.
You are a very busy person because everyone just loves your personality and openness. People love to be with you. They know that they can enjoy you. Have fun my lovely friend.

  12. I really have never felt like a third wheel except with my x's and his family. There a story !
To tell you the truth after the divorce, when I went out with friends/couples I knew it was better than with my x, they liked me where fun to be around.
Your different as you had a great husband with Sarge and had all wonderful years together.

I feel if they didn't like being around you they wouldn't invite you out. I am sure it will get easier.
After all you are "The Empress of the High Seas" whats not to like.

    cheers, parsnip

  13. Time for another cruise? You should ask Carnival to let you redecorate your stateroom.

  14. Bee, If people ask you to dinner, please go. If they didn't enjoy your company, they wouldn't ask you along...so see they like you. Exercise in water helps with our joints, don't you think. Hope you can enjoy the pool soon.xo, Susie

  15. I really enjoy it when I have time to myself. Lately though that just does not seem to happen-good for you that you were able to say no and be okay about it.
