Come on it, the water feels fine!

What a beautiful day.  Warm and sunny, way to go Mother Nature!  Love that muchly!  Now a cold front is supposed to come through so that may have been my last swim for awhile, I hope not though.

I went back to the fruit stand again yesterday and got some more fresh veggies and some watermelon.  I know that if I want to eat healthy and lite I have to have the right foods in the house. I also like some things easy to grab when I get a hunger pang so I don't look for something I shouldn't have instead.  These small things make it so much easier on me.

I made someone happy yesterday and it felt wonderful.  I love doing things like that.

Well I am trying to be upbeat here but it is very difficult for me.  My heart is just not in it today folks.  Sorry.  Hope your day is lovely.  I'll find a way to make mine better.  Count on it!

  6. I know exactly why your heart hurts today. But I promise you we did our best to honor his wishes. I have to laugh, I see folks joyously posting "Yay! Four more years" and I think, You have no idea what you've just done!!!

That's as political as I can muster.

The pool picture is gorgeous. Hope you get more time in there!!! I can tell it's your happy place! We all need one.

  10. Sad day here too... My only hope is we can vote out Ron Barber, a Pelosi minion. That would at lest be a ray of light for me.

On another sad note .... I am turning off the pool heater today, so no more exercising in the pool for me. Even in the desert do have a few months of winter, nothing like the east and north but still no pool for me till April.

But like you it is a beautiful day here in Tucson and The Square Ones are up to no good as usual. Thank Goodness !

    cheers, parsnip

  12. Oh my God Bee. Don't get down my gorgeous friend. Just look in the mirror and that should tell you how great your life is. I'm so impressed with you and Chuck. You've made look into life so much better even though there are difficulties. Just look at that photo that you've put into your blog this morning, you in that beautiful blue water of the pool. I wish I had that pool. I love you Bee and I don't think Charlie would want you to feel that way.
If I am over standing my bounds saying this just kick my smaller behind. See you.

  13. Who says you have to be upbeat all the time? On the other hand, who says I have to be downbeat all the time? I should go looking for that dirty so-and-so and give him (or her -- I don't want to be accused of sexism) a beatdown.

  14. Bandwagon story for you. A friend asked how I was losing weight and I shared the website with her. She has tracked her food for the last 3 days. Even though she does not need to lose weight, she is interested in eating better. She said this will make it easier for her to make healthier choices going forward. I never thought that a thin person could benefit from the bandwagon, but of course they can.

  22. I shop as healthy as I can and as I'm teaching myself how to cook more and more I'm moving further and further away from needing to venture into those dreaded center aisles of the grocery store...usually only pasta, rice, bread...that sort of thing. I never buy junk food. If we want something sweet I'll bake (from scratch) or we'll make ice cream with the ice cream maker we got for our wedding. Better than anything from the store anyway. We're not really losing weight, but it does make me feel good to know that when I do have the opportunity to cook at home, we're eating good, wholesome and mostly healthy meals.
