Tuesday is poker! and other stuff...

I had a great day yesterday!  I won two bucks at canasta and then we went in for the dinner.  I pre-planned my entire meal from the menu and tracked my whole day before I left the house.  The only change I made was deleting the ear of corn (it wasn't that good so I didn't want to waste the calories) and I added a gin and tonic.  My dinner was 701 calories so my day was still under budget.  I suppose I did have more sodium than normal though, we'll see how it goes.

One of my MahJong gals told me when women start to tell me I am losing too much weight watch out, they are not considering my best interest, but theirs.  Well it happened.  I just smiled sweetly and said I was under a doctor's care and I was fine but thank you so much for worrying about me.  (Uh huh.)

Well it's the 4th of September and I have not bought anything yet this month.  26 days to go.  Can I do it?  Yes I can.  But a cruise hit my credit card so it'll still be that high one more time.  I am determined to get it down.  Everything I spend goes on that card though.  Electric, phone, internet, condo maintenance, insurance, all of it.  I do that for the cash back.

Hope your Tuesday is totally tits.  I know mine will be.

  1. You are doing so great, all your hard work is paying off. Your Mahjong friend is right. Don't listen to anyone but yourself and your doctor !
Question... you always say I have lose a stick of butter how much is a stick of butter and is that a WW term ?

I put as much as I can on my card also. Then all the money I get back I buy something I need. Just bought a new TV for the kitchen, and deposited the rest.

    cheers, parsnip

  10. Hmm, I never thought that someone would say such things as a way to deter you. I really don't understand how people can be so rude. I am glad you were prepared and gave her the best diplomatic answer.

You do what makes you feel good! You look great and we are so very proud of you.

  11. Bee, You are very clever... putting your utilities and phone on your card for the rebate. I with you on the eating of tasteless calories. Corn has more than people would think. If I were going to blow my diet it would be something chocolate.LOL. You are right to say you are under your dr's. care. Proud of you. xo, Susie

  15. Oh, I understand on so many levels! I had many women tell me I didn't look good because I was losing so much weight, I look haggard, like I'd been sick, etc. these were women I worked with. - and I was under medical care, too!

When I'm dieting I always tend to overspend. When the shopping is under control, I over-eat. I'm very compulsive and that's not a good thing!

    You're gonna win both ways!!!

  16. The cash-back thing on the credit cards is great.

As far as losing weight, they are just jealous.
You're looking great in your pictures, and you've done fantastic with your eating and exercising.

But less than a size 6, and there IS a too-thin sometimes.

You'll know what your ideal weight is - and whether you still have another few pounds you want to lose, or whether the doctor says he'll start to worry if you don't put on a few pounds.

I liked being a size 6 - but that's when people would say I was starting to get TOO thin. Doesn't mean I wasn't happy to stay there, though:)

    ((HUGS))
