Sunday in paradise...

Boy howdy yesterday was busy!  I ran from one thing to another but I did manage to get in my workout and eat right.  It's possible if you're just careful and plan ahead.

Today is the day the duck and I go to the Walmart and we have lunch while we're at it.  First I have to wait for Comcast to come.  Again.  Or should I say yet again.  I grow weary of this "service".  But honestly none of the others are any better.

Tomorrow I go back to Dr. Wacks for my annual exam, part deux.  Very thorough.  This part takes two hours with him.  I know he'll be very happy with my progress.  I hope all my blood work is good.  I expect it will be.

I watch a good bit of tv.  I know I probably shouldn't but I do.  Well the ads lately are almost all attorneys and political.  There used to be other things like soap and cereal and deodorant  and milk and all kinds of stuff.  What happened to that?  There are infomercials though.  And honestly the attorney ads are mostly not even attorneys.  At the end in small print is the statement "non attorney spokesperson".  I have never seen this before.  I don't know what they do but I assume they refer you out to an attorney for a fee.  Oh, and cars.  I almost forgot the car ads.  Tons of them too.

I don't imagine I'll ever buy another car.  Sarge liked to trade often but I don't and I like the one I have so I plan on just keeping it.

I guess that's all I have in my brain today.  Have a lovely Sunday.  I will too...

  1. I don't like to trade cars. I drive them until I get all of the goodie out of 'em. srsly.

I mostly watch TV just to sleep. :) I need the background noise. I watch zero commercials. I DVR all of TV that I watch, which really is not much at all. I have a bout 5 shows I record from major networks and I guess about the same for the cable networks so I have something new to watch mostly all year. If not, I have my favorite movies to pop in. :)

Enjoy your day with the duck! big hugs xoxo

  2. I think my advice on cars would be the same as I give for computers (and people ask me sometimes, as my degree is in Computer Information Systems): If it's doing what you want & need it to do, and not having any major problems, probably best to stick with it.

  3. I love Verizon FIOS. It's like the Maytag guy commercial, we never have to call them for service.

I recently read that people are keeping their cars an average of ten years now. It makes sense to me. I like a car that is safe and takes me from point A to point B. I don't need a thief magnet.

  4. Buongiorno!!!
We finally had a bit of rain, now it's windy and clouds are running here around!
    G. buys cars, then he gives them to the son, for the school and work...I don't know how many in 20 years, middle class cars!
At the present he has no desire! So we save money!!!

Have a lovely Sunday with Chuck!

    Big hugs!!!

  5. We keep cars till Dick deems them no longer worth fixing, and he is a good fixer. Say hi to the duck. Y'all have fun.

    Big hugs, honey...

  6. I kept my last car 9 years. I buy exactly what I want and then I am happy with it for many years.

I used to have Comcast but finally fired them after taking off work 5 different times to have one problem "fixed." Went with Directv and have never had a service call. The monthly bill is high, though.

  7. Television is over rated. Most any show nowadays is online, or on Netflix. I don't have tv to save on monthly expenses and I have to say-I really do not miss it 95% of the time.

  8. Mom and Dad have Direct TV and so far don't have any problems
The only drawback is when a big rain shower comes in the first cloud makes the signal drop for a few seconds to minutes until that cloud has passed. But all services get interruptions.
    We really dislike Comcast!
    Hope your problem is resolves...

And now Abby sends her daily fuzzy hug

  9. At least that rude guy wasn't at the pool yesterday. I was hoping he wasn't.

I know you'll do well at the doctors office. You've worked very hard and it shows. That's the ticket.

Enjoy your day out with the Duck.

My car is a 2002 and has just over 20,000 miles on it. I think I'll keep it too since it's like new.

Have a terrific Sunday. Big hugs. :)

  12. When I practiced law, my firm tried one of those attorney referral services. They ran the ads and forwarded the calls to us. It was quite pricey. The potential clients that came in were given to me to screen (I was the low man on the totem pole and the only girl). They were the biggest bunch of screwballs I had ever met. They were obviously people who had been told by other attorneys that they did not have a case but pressed on nonetheless.

  13. Bee, I hate waiting for repairmen. It's not usually the repairman's fault...it's compaies trying to get more done with less help. Hope you had some fun today. Our lawn was finally green enough to mow. We are suppose to get more rain this week later. Enjoy yourself,xo, Susie
