It looks like I took a few day off from my list of things I love so today, my friends, is brought to you by the letter "G"!  Grandchildren, granddogs, gratitude, giving, gracious, glamour, google (remember when we didn't have that?), geraniums, Greta Garbo, giggles, games, girls, Gucci, gyms, gum and gatherings!

I won a few dollars yesterday at canasta and today I am seeing the duck again.  Again as in he went with us last night out to dinner, I was so glad he could get away for a few hours.  It was very nice.

And then this afternoon I will be in the pool.  I am going to take my book down there for when I get out I plan on just sitting there for awhile and giving thanks for my wonderful life.

I am so glad yesterday is over I cannot tell you.  The workout with Andre' was fine but the rest of it?  Not so much.  I went the tax guy and then had to go to the IRS and was there over five hours, the first one and a half standing in line outside in the heat and humidity and then inside where it was really cold.  I was damp from sweating and got really chilled but finally, finally, it was my turn.  

I had not eaten since breakfast and was dehydrated too from being outside and feeling really rotten but I got a nice agent who was an Iraq veteran and he was very helpful.  I hope it is straightened out now and I am once again in the land of the living but I could have not been if it had been much longer.

So of course there was no pool.  By the time I got out of there I could barely talk and came home and ate something (a sandwich) and drank fluids and then started feeling better.  Why did I not leave?  Well it's only going to get worse as the 15th nears so I stuck it out and now I have a paper that says my return was reviewed by an agent and he has processed it.  The end.

Today shall be better, much better.  I have cards and then I am taking some friends out to dinner at a local seafood place and I am really looking forward to it.  The duck may join us too.  I hope he can.  He needs to get out for a few hours. (For Paul: He's as busy as a three legged cat in a sandbox.)

And so my friends I shall close on that note.  I will feel and be much better today.  Sometimes we all have to go through stuff we don't like but we pull up our big girl panties and git-r-done.  Have a great day!

This is Brad McKee.  He sailed with us last month and went into the piano bar every night.  Sadly he was found dead in his home this week.  He was a diamond cruiser with Carnival and belonged to several groups that I belong to.  Treasure each day my friends.  Seriously.  Don't let a single day go by that you didn't appreciate and take to it's fullest.  He usually wore a cowboy hat and was quite the character.  

Today I get to be beat up improved by Andre' and then I get to go back to the tax preparers to see why the stupid IRS thinks I'm dead.  Several of you thought I should let them think it and I tend to agree but probably won't.   My opinion of them is that they are total incompetents. Hopefully I'll be done in time to hit the pool after all that.  It's supposed to be warm and sunny again.  And you know how much I love that!

The card room is much emptier already.  Lots of snowbirds flocking north.  Oh, and I was losing 8 bucks yesterday up until the end of the day and then I won big and ended up winning eighty cents.  Five hours work for eighty cents.  Too funny.  But it's still better than a loss.

Gosh one month until cruise time again.  I am a bit sad because the duck was not able to go as planned and he is the one that chose this particular cruise.  He is as busy as a stump tailed cow in fly season.

Today is yet another gorgeous day where I will be inside a card room but it's a commitment so I shall honor it and go although I'd much rather be at the pool!

And today is brought to you by the letter "F" as in friends, Facebook, fun, fish, fabulous, furry, forever, fish oil!, feathers, Carnival the Funship, feasts, feisty, fashion, and fruit!  But not flies.  Or fleas.

So guess what?  It appears the IRS thinks I'm dead.  I had my tax return efiled and it was rejected yesterday because I have a dead person's ss#.  I didn't even know I was sick!  Rats.  I hate it when that happens.  But seriously now I have to go back and have it redone on Friday.

And not to worry, I called the SS office and they said I was alive and I did my annual free credit report for all three agencies and it all looks fine so I don't know what this is about.  And I had no withheld income tax so it wasn't that someone filed under my number to get a fake refund either so who knows?  Another government problem.

Guess that's all I know for today.  It's hard to know too much when your own government says you're a dead duck.  Buggers! Ha!  Anyway have a perfectly lovely day and I will too, dead or alive!

Oh my gosh we are having beautiful weather!  I mean the absolute perfect of the perfectist weather.  I am taking full advantage of it too.

So today is brought to you by the letter "E".  Let's see, blue eyes, (as John Heald would say) eyepads and eyephones, excitement, entertainment, energy, and electricity. 

And then there was poker!  I took Roche' and he made friends with everyone.  He brought me such luck everyone was touching him to bring them luck too.  This hand he got four 7's and another hand he got a royal flush.  We won big!  And he was very well behaved.  He did say he'd like to wear his wig next time.  We'll see.  But he can definitely go back with me.

Today I have a card game at the club and lunch with some gals.  It's nice and sunny and hot and I'd love to be at the pool but I can't be in both places so I'll just have fun and not worry about it.

Yesterday the pool was 80°and it felt a bit cool getting in but once I started jogging it felt wonderful and the sun was so nice.  I love that pool!

Today is brought to you by the letter "D".  Let's try dinner, diners, Vitamin D (sunshine), donuts (not that I get to have any but I did have cake!), Delaware (where I was born), dreams, deltoids (I don't know where mine are yet but I think they are in my a$$ular area), the Duck!, Disney, Dr. Wacks, and good deals.

Today shall find me with the ever torturing eager Andre' and hopefully then the pool.  After that it's time for poker where I hope to win some nice chips.

Speaking of chips, have you tried Popchips yet?  I love them and they are not fried, try them if you like ships and are watching your fat intake, they are really good.  My Walmart does not have them yet but Publix does.

Gosh it was another beautiful day.  It was supposed to rain but it didn't.  And I got invited to dinner (and CAKE!) at the home of the (self appointed) mayor's (of the pool) house for a wonderful dinner cooked by his gracious and sweet wife and the cake was SOOOOOO good.  Well the dinner was excellent too but you know me and cake.  And the frosting was not too sweet, just like I like.  I got to bring home a big piece too so I'll have it several more times.  It was his birthday dinner and his grandson's too and his daughter was there.  I was so thrilled to be asked!  Really nice people.

Today is the day I go get my taxes done.  I am bringing them muffins.  Last year I tried to tip them but they wouldn't take it and they said next year to bring them some treat so that's what I got them.

The Walmart was a zoo yesterday, we even had to park way down the line it was so crowded but I got everything I needed including the florescent bulb for my kitchen and I even changed it myself!  I didn't know I was so handy but I am learning to do more and more.  I know changing a bulb isn't a big deal but it's the long kind and I just never did it before.  It took me several tries to get it twisted in there just right but dang it, it's working perfectly.

Today is the letter "C".  Charlie, Chuck, Cat (D#!), Carnival, cruises (right Jon?), cantaloupe, chilled soups, CAKE!, caramel, coffee,  cats, crayons, cream, catsup, chips, diet Coke, chartreuse, chunky jewelry, Clark's shoes, and chocolate.

Gosh I lost over ten bucks yesterday at canasta.  An unmitigated disaster!  Kidding, it was still a cheap day and a whole lot of fun.  We laughed so much, it was a lovely day.

The letter of the day today is "B" so here goes... bees! brunch, butter pecan ice cream, buttered popcorn, well - butter!, bluebirds, banana bread, well most any bread!, biscuits (I had one this week!), bedtime, blueberry muffins, and the big bang theory!

Today I shall be with the duck and hopefully the pool afterward if the weather is nice.  It's plenty warm but raining as I type this.  Some storms are running through.  I took the photo above two mornings ago when I woke up early.  It was so pretty, almost foggy but the colors were lovely.  I truly live in paradise and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else on earth.

My 50th high school reunion is coming up in November.  In Baltimore.  It's cold in November in Baltimore.  I doubt I'll go.  I do not like cold.  We'll see, no promises either way yet.  My graduating class was over 600 students and I have not kept in touch with anyone really.  I got married and moved away and had a military life moving about and it just didn't happen.

My orchid from Jody is blooming again!  This is the fourth time.  It's so lovely.

I decided to do something new, I am going to go through the alphabet and say what makes me happy and I am thankful for.  (Y'all. I forgot, a preposition is something you never end a sentence with!)

Anyway, today's letter is 'A' and here goes:  (in no particular order) Apple computers, phones, and iPads, apples, aqua oceans, avocados, Allegiant (the final book in the Divergent series), azaleas, air conditioning, art, Amazon.com, air, and my amazing life.  Do you have any to add to the list?

Today will find me in the card room with my canasta gals.  Hopefully earning a dollar or two and not losing much.  I hope your Saturday is as good as mine and that you have lots of "A" things that you love.

I decided I'd like to look at a cruise ship today.  I have to go see Andre' and get my fat bee-hind back in some semblance of shape again.  I have not been too good lately and it's changing now.  Right now.  Today I have to pay for ten more sessions - #31-40.

So the duck has decided that he cannot go on the cruise with D#1 and I May 4th because of his job so I called Carnival and they actually gave me onboard credit for his fare.  They did not have to do this as we are past final payment date (read: no longer refundable) so thank you Carnival, once again you came through for me.  

Oh, I didn't tell you about the seminar yesterday.  It was so boring my teeth went to sleep but I got my certification to be on the board over and done.  The lunch wasn't bad though.  There was lots of swag up for grabs and raffles that I didn't win.  The best thing I can say about it is that it's over.

It's warm again but rainy so I may not get to swim after Andre' but if the sun is out I'll be at the pool.  And it's Friday so I know y'all love that.  Roche' says he loves it too but I have no idea why.  I don't think he does either but he hears people say it so he says it too.  He's my little rock-a-baby.
