The Carnival Ecstasy Day two...

I am being spoiled beyond belief! I may never go home! Last night at dinner the Maitre d' came by the table chatting and asked everyone what their favorite foods were from the sea day brunch. I said I liked it all but he went further and said well if you were ordering what would you select? I said well if pressed I supose I'd order cheese grits, poached eggs, and coffee. This morning this showed up on a hotel cart for balcony delivery, brought by two handsome uniformed guys.

Now if you are a Carnival cruiser you know the breakfast menu on room service is limited. Very limited in fact. This was perfectly poached eggs, fresh squeezed orange juice, fabulous cheese grits and amazing coffee. I was blown away!

Thirty minutes later I got a call asking how everything was and asked if I'd like it again tomorrow. I thanked them profusely but declined. I really am trying not to eat too much. It's hard though, very hard! They asked if they could pick up the dishes so my room would stay tidy.

Today is a sea day. Translation: everyone is on the Lido deck and in that fabulous pool so I shall stay away. I am meeting someone for lunch (yes, more food) and then perhaps a nap(?) and then formal night tonight. Who am I meeting you ask? The hotel director, he is an amazing man that is the best on the seven seas.

Still not miss-bee-havin' though!

Carnival Ecstasy Day One

Well it was interesting to say the least getting on the ship. Apparently a 20 year old guy from NC went into a restricted area and climbed out onto the mast and fell two decks down, was taken to the hospital and died there.

Thus we were late boarding and there were press and police around but we finally sailed about an hour and a half late. I felt really bad that it happened but really? One of those " here, hold my beer while i do this" moments?

What makes people do such crazy things? And now I am quite sure the press will have a field day with it. I swear if a guy falls off a Royal Carribbean ship the press shows a Carnival ship in the background.

So my dinner companions are all single, all cruising alone, and all diamond cruisers. Some of them cruise for months straight. You can do that? Hey! Anyway it was pleasant and now I am getting ready to go to the piano bar and see Liz.

I'm having fun and so far not miss-bee-havin but no promises, that may change at any time! In fact I suspect it will. Tomorrow night I get to wear my red dress. Yee haw!

Oh how I love those salt water pools.  I wish ours was one but it's not and I love it anyway.  The (self appointed) mayor (of the pool) promised to take very good care of it while I am cheating with another pool.

Today is the big day, I shall be on my own but not alone for sure.  And plenty do do every night!  That's the best part.  Shows, piano bar, lido parties, lounges, so many spots and so little time.  I shall hit them all.  And y'all know if I "Miss-Bee-Hav" a bit I'll be sure to tell you but it'll probably be pretty boring! lol

Thanks for coming with me...

Carnival's Iconic Whale Tail

I belong to a cruise group on facebook that is uncensored and there was a huge discussion yesterday about where all they put their joints to get them on the ship.  It was quite enlightening to say the least!  And it went downhill from there to what all they did on the balconies.  You know I have been on probably 50ish cruises and I am still a cruise virgin.  How can that be you ask?  Don't ask.  Bwahahah.

Guess I'm feeling frisky today!  Sorry.  Anyway it's a fun group and I have not met any of them in person but I must say they would be a fun group with which to cruise.  (Did you notice I didn't say to cruise with?  Right.)

Tomorrow is the big day.  I will post daily but not at regular times as usual so you'll just have to check in to see if you want to come along.  I just have to get myself to Miami's port by myself first.  I hate that I-95 traffic like a snake but I want to cruise bad enough that I'll manage it.

Cruising alone is so different from going with someone.  And this time I don't even have cruising friends going like the last time I did it.  I know crew, officers, and entertainers but that's all.  At least I know the Cruise Director pretty well, he was supposed to be off the ship before I got on but he is staying longer, it's Josh Waltzman if any of you know him.  They call him Big Sexy.  I don't know why but he is big.  He's a great CD.  There are three or four of them that I really like and the rest I just avoid whenever possible.

So that's it from paradise for today, come with me and I'll try to keep you entertained with my antics.  Maybe I'll even find a crazy person to stalk again!

First thank you all for the kind words yesterday and yes, I did get an apology and I do feel much better.  There was an upside to the fiasco though, I had the best workout of my life with Andre' (according to him) and I lost more weight.  I was working through my frustration and came home to the lovely kind words of regret in an email.

My cruise packing is done other than actually rolling the clothes and putting them in the suitcase.  I was a bit afraid because the new pink suitcase is smaller than the one I used last but I made it work quite nicely.  I'll put the actual clothes in at the last moment to cut down on wrinkles.  And I have a new red dress to take!  I was so lucky that I found it online on clearance and it fits perfectly.  Originally it came in both black and red but the black was sold out.  I would have gotten both if not.  I'll show you when I wear it.

Tonight I'll be at the Fern House with the duck for this years graduation ceremony.  I enjoy that each year, seeing the guys that have improved their lives through the their work and will.  The smiles on their faces and the faces of their families is so rewarding.

Have a great weekend y'all.  I will too.  For sure!

Sunrise day before yesterday.  Nice, huh?  I swear this is what I look at when I open my eyes in the morning.  Now just how fortunate am I or what?  Yes and I am thankful for every single day I have.  I love life and every minute of it.

Recently I was hurt by someone and I am trying to get over it and I will for sure but it's not something that has happened to me often in my life.  It's sure a learning experience.  And not something that I want to do again.  People can be thoughtless, can't they?  I hope I never do that to anyone.  Try never to hurt anyone.  But if you do feel the shame you deserve and make it up to them.

Today Andre' shall beat me up for the last time before the cruise.  I am really going to try to eat healthy but it's so hard with all that tempting food in front of you.  I am at my lowest weight now in many years.  I am down ninety-one pounds since Sarge died.  Nine to go.  It has been a pleasure to do it for the most part because he asked me to and when I'd get down I would just think of him and be fine again.

It actually hurts me to look at this photo or any photo when I was that big.  This is my granddaughter Ayla on the night she got engaged to Matt.  I could barely walk back then and used a scooter for distance.  I know you should never say never but honey I will NEVER do this to myself again.  I could cry looking at that face.  Nope, never again.

Am I determined?  You know I am.  If you are one of the friends that have come along with me on this journey I am so proud of you too.  Never go back.  Nothing tastes as good as thin feels.

All the best my dears!

This is the duck and D#1 the morning she left, we went for breakfast before she drove north.  They are such good friends as well as sister and brother.  I am so happy about that.  Both are blue eyed angels to me.  One just has more hair.  Lots more hair!  lol

Well my suitcase is out and I am starting to gather my belongings again.  I emailed the hotel director and so far there are SIXTY diamond guests on this cruise.  I knew there would be a lot because they opened it up to a great rate for us but that's an amazing amount!  No dinner with the Captain this time.  Probably a cocktail party in some club onboard.  He will be stretched thin with all those guests too.  I guess I was really lucky on the last cruise.  That was pretty wonderful.  A night I will always remember.

Today I have no plans other than spending time at the pool.  Dreamy day, huh?  Yeah, that's what I thought.

Hope your day is as great as mine!

Wednesday, September 24, 2014

Between my feet is a five pound weight.  Now that's not much but when you are doing thirty leg lifts with it there and then twenty more without it, honey, it's a lot!  It was a really great workout too.

D#1 is gone and I am sad about that.  I did have her longer than planned so I am grateful but hated to see her go.  Today Steve and Jane come to shine up my condo to within an inch of its life and that's a very good thing.  I am not messy and there are lots of things I like to do but windows, floors, stuff like that are not some of them.

Poker was called off last night because there weren't enough players again.  That's two weeks in a row that happened.  But soon we will have too many when the snowbirds come back.

Not sure what I'll be doing today, there are no games this week because of the Jewish holidays but have no fear, I'll find something fun to do.  You know me, I always do!

Have a great Wednesday y'all.  I sure will too.

Tuesday, September 23, 2014

Well let me tell you that the 3-D mammography does not hurt nearly as bad as the old kind.  Not nearly as bad.  Not bad at all in fact.  And I only had to have three on each side instead of the usual 10 or 12.  Then I had a chest xray and a sonogram and I got an all clear, good to go.

D#1 is probably leaving today after she sees that handsome dentist of mine for a release from the surgery she had yesterday.  Now she waits for the next procedure which will be whenever she can come back.  I sure have enjoyed having her here, we have had a great time together even though she has had to work a good bit.

And Andre' shall be beating me up today too.  We have been in a rain pattern so I doubt I'll be at the pool, I have something else to do this afternoon after D#1 leaves but not to fear, I shall have my exercise early.

For Cate: Hi Bee! Do they have stores and cool shopping on the ship? Are they open at night? I've never been on cruise, and was curious about that. Sorry if it's a dumb question... :) Cate   Why yes they do have shops, some things like high end bags and jewelry and some not so much, just fun stuff.  The shops are open while at sea but not while in ports.  They close about 10:00 at night usually.  They also have duty free shops.

Have a wonderful Tuesday y'all.  I know I will too.  For sure.

Monday, September 22, 2014

Today is Monday, a whole new week awaits us with a plethora of amazing possibilities!  This morning I am having my (now annual) mammogram and I am having the new kind.  My center now has 3-D mammography.  I have not had this yet, it is new here.  I usually have to have 12 or more views on each side and hopefully this will cut down on that.  At least I only have to do it once a year now.  I also have to get my annual chest xray too.

So yesterday the duck and I $hitcanned ATT!  We went with T-mobile and ordered our new iPhone6's which will be delivered in about 5 days.  Then we will switch service to T-mobile at that time.  It's cheaper, more service, more data, and free data for the iPad.  Can you say bye bye ATT, I have been with them since the early 80's with the earliest of cell phones and they just ticked me off for the last time.  Wish me luck!

One week until cruise time.  By myself.  But I'll be fine.  I will know people on the ship, not passengers but crew and officers and entertainment people and I'll meet people.  I also don't mind spending lots of time on my balcony just watching the ocean go by and then going all over the ship at night.

Have a wonderful week y'all.  I sure will too.  I still have d#1!

Sunday, September 21, 2014

My dear friend's dock is going in finally after much ado and it's a wonderful thing.  I can't wait until it's finished and I get to walk out on it over the Intracoastal Waterway.  It is going to be amazing.

So D#1 is still here and will be for yet another few days.  She is having oral surgery Monday and that handsome dentist of mine that I call Dr. Joe because that's his name wants her to stay a few days longer so she shall.  I am happy to have her but I know it is putting a damper on her life and work right now but we shall get through this.  He wants to see her back on Wednesday.

This week are some Jewish holidays and lots of my friends are going out of town of having company so once again, no games.  No problem.  I'll be at the pool instead.  You know I love that pool plus Andre' is around so he'll beat me up and I'll have a good week for sure.

And today is the duck for lunch and shopping at Publix.  That's always a treat.  That guy works so hard I love to get him out for a bit to relax.  They are gearing up for graduation next Saturday.  It's a very big deal there and I usually go to it.

Have a wonderful Sunday y'all.  Me too.  You know I will!

Saturday, September 20, 2014

Do you ever think of the beautiful skies as paintings?  That change every day?  That's how I think of them, painted by God for us to enjoy and believe me I do enjoy them.

Yesterday I worked so hard with Andre' that I could not even swim when I got done.  All I could do was shower and have a nap.  But you know what?  I did it.  All of it.  And it felt wonderful.

I am really enjoying D#1's visit, she has been having so many appointments but they are all good and she is healthy.  I just have the best doctors anywhere and she thinks so too.  Yesterday she had the dermatologist.  Every day it is something different and today is the dentist again.  There will be lots of appointments with him.  She'll have to come back for some time but the end result will be amazing.  He was so cute, he said he gave her the "Empress Bee" discount.

Have a great Saturday y'all.  I know I will too.  For sure!

Friday, September 19, 2014

Last night D#1 and I went to the movies, we saw The Hundred-Foot Journey.  I had heard mixed reviews about it but we both enjoyed it a lot.  Gosh is she ever dumb though.  I told her I was blogging this too.  After the show as we were leaving the theatre she said she wanted to stop in the rest room.  I waited in the lobby and when she came out she was all freaked out.  She said there was a urinal in the ladies room.  The poor dumb thing went in the men's room and didn't know it.  Too funny!

Today I have Andre' again and I shall do whatever he says and then some.  I will not let him get the best of me.  Nope.

So it's Friday y'all.  I know you love that.  Me?  No matter, the days are all good here.  Retired is amazingly good people, amazingly good.  Plan for it because it's worth it for sure.

Have a wonderful day my friends.  You know I will too.  I still have D#1 here!

Thursday, September 18, 2014

Since I showed you one grandson yesterday I decided to show you another one.  And Josh Liverman is his cousin, great photo, huh?  This is Daniel.  He is my computer genius grandson.

D#1 is going to be here a bit longer I think as she met with the oral surgeon yesterday and is having her surgery Monday.  I am happy to have her as long as she can stay.

Last night I slept like a log again.  All night long, early to bed and woke up at 7:00 in the morning.  It's like having someone in the apartment takes away the lonely feelings I have been having and I am back to a logical sleep pattern.  I have no idea what will happen when she leaves but I'll let you know.

Thanks again to all you lovely commenters.  I did notice you didn't come back again yesterday for another comment but that's okay.  You did what I asked and I am a happy girl.

And now to get the (self appointed) Mayor (of the pool) to wash my car!

I don't have any games this week at all because I said I couldn't go while I had my company.  It's good to have a bit of time away from it once in awhile.  Too much of anything can get boring and I never want to be bored for sure.

I guess that's about all that's in my brain for today.  Hope you have a wonderful Thursday, I know I will for sure!

Wednesday, September 17, 2014

This is my youngest grandson, he is now 18 so I can post his photo!  This one is a pistol.  I knew the minute I saw him in the delivery room that he was going to be a handful.  He's cute, smart, musical, lots of great things but he is still a handful.  Guess that's what I love most about him.

And now back to yesterday - I would like to reply to you lovely commenters.  First I am very proud of you for "coming out" so to speak.  Hope you won't be shy and keep commenting but if not, well thank you for yesterday.

  1. Hello. My name is Barb and I come here because I just love Miss BeeHavin'. ;)

  5. Hi bee I came here as a carnival cruiser and John Heald fan. also have been following your weight loss journey and you are an inspiration.Wendy
  6. Wendy, I think you are a different Wendy from the one above?  I am very happy to have you here and hope you keep coming back honey!
  7. Gracie Gracie Gracie!  *smooch*
  8. Just in case...
I don't see my comment. Been reading for years. I'm glad you are doing great.
  9. Nanette, Are you Nanni in Puerto Rico?  If so, best to your beautiful family.  If you are another Nanette, welcome!  So happy you are here.  This is so much fun reading all of these.  My heart is just soaring!
  10. My first name is Karen. I started following you from Cruise Critic. I love to cruise too. Your blog is the first thing I read in the morning. It always starts my day off just right.
  11. Karen, So glad you found me!  I no longer go on Cruise Critic, it's a shame but I got weary of all the bickering.  It started out as a great forum and I certainly learned a lot there.  I am so happy I start your day off right!  Your comment did the same for me today honey!
  12. I visit here everyday with my coffee. My love of crusising brings me here. Also I wish I could lose weight like you have done. Also I must confess I am one of those snowbird types. You make me laugh. I can live my senior years like you.
  13. Pat, I have my coffee every morning here too so we are having it together!  And you CAN lose weight, hell honey if I can do it anyone can.  I also used to be a snowbird, sure nothing wrong with that.  I am full time in Florida now and love it but for many years we went back and forth.  And I am happy to make you laugh.  Thank you so much!
  14. Hey Miss Bee. Although this is only about the 2nd time I've commented, I'm here every day to see what you've been up to. I feel as I've known you for years. I'm thinking I found you back in 2007ish? You are an inspiration and such a joy to follow. We're cruisers too, but are loyal to you-know-who. ;-)

  15. Loyal to RCI?  lol, somebody has to do it I guess?  Kidding!  We all have our own taste and Carnival is mine but I sure respect everyone else's.  Gosh, seven years and two comments! lol, don't wear out your fingers! Again, kidding.  Keep coming back whether you comment or not and let us know more about RCI if you want.  This is just great reading all of this!
  16. Crap, really?! My comment just disappeared. And it was cute.

So, hi, my name is Lisa and I am frustrated with blogger, wordpress, Disqus and all of those fangled contraptions that like to EAT my comments.

I visit everyday, but rarely have time to comment before I have to to head back to work. And commenting twice is just frustrating as all heck.

But I have been a loyal Bee reader for over 5 years, probably found this lovely lady by following a comment SHE left somewhere.

Thank you, Bee for always being so honest and having a great attitude about everything life throws at you.
  17. Hi Lisa,  are you in Pennsylvania?  Just so I know which Lisa.  Welcome every day sweetie and just get to work.  Sorry the comment gave you trouble.  Hope next time it is easier!  And that there is a next time! lol
  18. Good morning Miss Bee, I'm Donna one of you lurkers. I read you each morning with my coffee, it
has become part of my day. Thanks for your posts I enjoy reading about your "doings"
  19. Hi Donna!  Welcome and thanks for letting me share coffee with you.  I sure do love my coffee and will think of you when I have it tomorrow morning and toast you!  And thanks for reading!
  20. Hi, I'm Paul, I'm an Italian, I love women especially my wife Mary Lou. I use to heavy but because of a very good friend I lost over 54 lbs. I love cruising also and have cruised with this friend twice. ( It was OK ) I hope to cruise with her again in the future. This friend is a wonderful and is thoughtful. She's gorgeous and is looking better every day. My friend loves ducks & cats. Well I have to leave, I have to go to the bathroom right now. It was nice commenting to you. I hope to someday comment again. Bye, bye.

  21. Hi Paul,  You handsome Italian you!  And yes, we have cruised together twice with your lovely Marylou and old whats-his-name as you lovingly referred to Sarge.  Fun for sure.  You make me smile every day of my life and I am so thankful for you!
  22. My name is Diew from Alberta Canada, this is my third comment. I've been following you since Sarge Charlie passed away and he told his readers to follow you and look after you. I found him through Mel. We knew Jim her fiance that was killed by and IED.
  23. Hello Diew!  Alberta, I see that a lot and now I know it is you.  Thank you so much for being here.  I remember Mel and Jim and when he died.  What a tragedy that was.  I am so happy to have you here, please come often sweetie!
  24. My name is Jackie but it is usually Flynn who visits and then sneaks away without leaving a comment. I thought about not leaving a comment so I would have to wash your car, but I figured you wouldn't want to pay my air fare (preferably 1st class).
  25. Jackie!  So happy to hear from you honey!  It's been a long time.  I wonder if you have cruised lately.  I am going again soon.  By myself.  Hey, when no one else wants to go I go without them, I make my own fun and shall always try to do so!  Best to Flynn!
  26. Hi Bee, I start my day with your blog. You're always so happy, and it's fun to hear what you're up to.
I too used to have a personal trainer, and enjoyed it a lot. It's tough work, but when you start seeing muscles pop out, you feel wonderful. I was curious how you do your exercise in the pool? Do you just walk around for an hour or do you to some leg lifts and stuff? Have a great day!!

  27. Hi Cate!  You have commented before and I love you for it.  The pool:  First I "aqua jog" back and forth as hard as I can for about a half hour and then do more jogging with arms and then do leg lifts (still jogging, that doesn't stop) and just keep moving.  I push through the water with as much force as I can manage and I just love it.  And yes to those muscles!  Mine are getting lovely I think and I am very proud of them.  Thanks for visiting honey!
  28. Where did my post go? I'll try again. I'm Joy and I come here to keep up with my friend, Bee, and to enjoy all her PINK stuff. Hugs to you, Empress Bee!
  29. Darling Joy,  You truly are a Joy each day in my life with your inspirational comments and encouragement.  I love you and miss you honey pie!
  30. But, Bee, I don't wash my cars... (I just wait until it rains...)
  31. Curmy!  One of my very first online friends ever and we are still here.  So happy you are around my dear friend.  Much love to the family!
  32. Hello. My name is Sandee and I come here because I just love Miss BeeHavin'.

The end and big hugs ♥♥♥
  33. Sandee my dear!  You are my breath and my lifeline so many days.  I am just so happy you are in my life.  Please stay there always. *smooch*
  34. This is Lisa in Nashville and I found your blog many years ago after John Heald mentioned you and Sarge Charlie on his blog. Thanks to you I got on the band wagon 2 years ago and lost 97 pounds, which I have kept off. Your example kept me going.
  35. Hi Lisa!  I cannot tell you how proud of you I am honey, you have lost more than I have and I just think that is totally tits!  Thank you for being there every day, I cherish your visits!
  36. Miss Bee I've been coming to visit for years. Yes I am a bad commentor! But you need to drop by and visit us too! MOL My online name is of course Abby but she was my beloved soul cat. I'm Debra and I just love your attitude.
  37. Hi Debra,  Thank you for visiting and I shall visit, somehow you are not in my feeds and I shall have to change that for sure.  I remember your Abby and am sad that you lost her.  She was a darling kitty.  Hugs...
  38. Wouldn't miss a day reading your blog. Enjoy your upcoming cruise. That Owners Suite was something. There are many videos on you tube about it.
  39. Bill!  See I did not know you read the blog!  I knew you were on Facebook but not here.  Thank you my dear old cruising friend!  So happy to find this out!  Best to your wife always.  I enjoy looking at her art in your photos.
  40. Hi Bee,
I'm Lynn and I read your blog everyday! I just read through all the comments and they prove that you are the most incredible woman and we all love you!
  41. Hi Lynn!  Thank you first of all for visiting, next for commenting, and finally for the lovely compliment.  What a sweet thing to say.  I am humbled by this honey!
  42. Wow, Bee . . . look at all those comments. It's me . . Dee! I've been lurking for years as you know but have only commented a few times. I love your upbeat blog. It's a gorgeous day here in southern Ontario, sunny and warm. We're getting ready for Applefest this weekend in our little village. Have a great week with Cat. Hugs, Dee
  43. Hello Dee!  I remember you honey!  So glad you commented today!  Applefest sounds wonderful,  it's still hot and muggy here but you know I love it.  I sure do remember the cool crisp autumn days that you are having though and they are wonderful!  Thanks for being here.
  44. Hi Bonnie! I love cruising, although next time it will be down a river in Europe. I read your blog because I pretty much want to be you when I grow up!
  45. Hello Lauren!  I loved my river cruise in Europe, it was on the Danube and it was amazing, one of my very favorite cruises.  And I don't blame you for wanting to be me when you grow up, I am a very lucky gal and I love life and cherish every minute of it.
  46. Hi, Bee. I'm Bella and I come here because you're cheerful and upbeat. I always leave with a smile. Look at all these lurkers you brought out of hiding. :)
  47. Hi Bella!  I seemed to have brought you out too honey! lol  I am so happy  to meet you.  Please keep coming back and reading, I shall think of you when I read comments and wonder if you'll ever do it again! lol
  48. I just tried to post a comment so either you are going to have two or this comment will look funny:)
  49. Hi Karen, Sorry about the comment you lost.  How is that darling little boy of yours, he sure is a cutie pie!  Thanks for being a friend honey!
  50. Hi Bee,
Tried commenting the other day when you showed us how you pack for a cruise but my antiquated iPad kept crashing. I'm hoping this one gets through. I have really enjoyed reading your blog everyday since I love cruising too. You'll find in the cools mountains of NC and back in S. Fl come the fall. Hope you continue to have a wonderful visit with your daughter. God bless.
  51. Hi MaryC, You sound like me, I was in the North Georgia mountains and South Florida and think that is the best of both worlds for sure.  Let me know where you stay when you are here.  Thanks for reading honey!

  52. Bee:  That is a beautiful sky. The training for my new job starts at 6:00am. For personal reasons I could have happily stayed in bed, but then I wouldn't get paid or get away from personal stuff for awhile. I had a lot on my mind, but I looked out the window and saw a really beautiful sunset. It reminded me that God is always here for me, even when I sometimes forget.
Big hugs, Bobbi (one of your slackers)

Hi Bobbi!  You are never a slacker honey, you have a plate full and I well know it!  Just take care of yourself and that's all you have to do right now sweetie!

My name is Pam.  Love your upbeat blog and all your activities.  You put the sunshine in my day!

Hi Pam, thank you so much!  And your comment put sunshine in mine!

And this is all the comments I had at the time I wrote this.  If you commented  later, well, thank you and come again please.  I have enjoyed this so much y'all.  I really have.

Hope your Wednesday is fabulous, mine will be for sure.  Oh, and the (self appointed) Mayor (of the pool) read this and did not comment so he has to wash my car.  Tits!
